EC and Point blasted their opponents tonight to set up a great match up tomorrow.  Both teams played fantastic in the first halves.  EC shot 67% against Olaf and Point 71% against Luther in the first stanza.

UWO wins over Lake Forest, 43-41.

JMM

Eau Claire beats Point by 60 - 54. Hard fought game. Eau Claire, well flat at times, had too many tools for Point. Hannah Mesick named tournmant MVP. Heather Witt another fantastic game When she goes into the "Witt Zone" she is the best all round player in the WIAC . Arciszewski was named to the all tournent team. 5, 6, 7 players on Eau Claire getting into the groove and doing very well as the season moves on.

The Lady WARHAWKS trailed by 13 to a hot shooting (57.5% for the game, 64.7% in the first half) Loras but turned the defense up several notches and behind a 17-6 run managed to pull even with a minute and half left in the first half.  Dana Thompson's inside basket put them on top 38-36 with :38 left in the half and it ended with the WARHAWKS up 40-37.   Loras was still within 3 points with 13 minutes remaining but another run (13-6) put the WARHAWKS ahead by double digits and Loras got no closer than eight points the rest of the way.  The final was 86-74.

Tiffany Morton went 10-16 from the floor and led all scorers with 29 points.  Kelsey Hendrickson added 13 and Dana Thompson and Megan Schmidt each scored 12 points.   The WARHAWKS full court pressure gave Loras major problems as they finished with 30 turnovers including 15 steals by the WARHAWKS.   Meanwhile, for first time this season, the WARHAWKS finished with more assists than turnovers, 19-15.

Slow start my arse! I for one have had enough of Schumacher. How long will she get a free pass because she won her first season WITH PAM RUDER'S PLAYERS?!?!?!

Read this article:
http://www.thenorthwestern.com/article/20081119/OSH0201/811190563/1148/OSH02

Okay, if you didn't feel like cutting and pasting, let me give you the gist: blah, blah, blah, kids fault, blah, blah, blah, kids fault, blah, blah, blah, someting trite about stepping up, blah, blah, blah.

Oshkosh SHOULD NOT be the epitome of mediocrity! Look for them to be lousy the entire tenure of this coach, plus two years.

Buckets out!

Lets be fair here.  The cupboard was not exactly full when she arrived.  She was blessed with five solid players when she arrived, but not much for a bench.

But then she should've had a down year, maybe two until her recruits matured and were ready to play. Instead, what has happened? Her players the ones that SHE recruits won't stick around to play for her because either they can't hack it or they can't stand to play for her. In either case, she is ruining this once proud program.

I don't have the time nor the ambition to look this up, but doesn't it seem like she has lost a lot of upperclassmen? She rails on her kids for not having the guts to step up (in the paper, mind you!) but yet somehow her recruits dissapear after a season or two. There are a couple of high potential kids that are walking around that campus but have chosen to not stick with the program. Again, either poor recruiting or poor retention. In either case, poor coaching.

Sorry, I will take a few deep breaths and chill out!!!!

Former player here?

The advice I would give is exactly what you said.....chill out.

Its a young team. Maybe she called them out in the paper to see if anyone would step up and be a leader on the floor. That is one thing they are lacking. If they get a true floor leader and limit the TO's, they are bursting with potential. But you're making it sound like she's been planning on stealing the 1996 trophy and burning the banner.

Ya, well I know why you have this bad attitude about me.  I nearly cost you big money  between periods of the Stout hockey game when my blazing slap shot just caught the post.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Maybe if stoutguy bought you a beer, you'd like to see him.... :o

Was good to get my first Stout WBB fix of the season!!!

Well, I only get to see less than half of the UWO games nowadays.....that and the whole "not-in-college-anymore" thing has kept me away from the board for too long, I guess.

I notcied Arin Lane is back on the UWO roster after a one year hiatus.  Anyone know the story here?   Was she injured last season, or is it something else?
Interesting to see that she is no longer listed on the UWO roster.  She soes from starting the opening game of the season, to no longer being on the team in a matter of FIVE games.

Kind of a head-scratcher..... :-\

I don't need to "voice" my thoughts on this situation!

And no, I am not a former player. In fact, not even an alumn. Lets just say I have an "opinion!"

Damn, I was looking forward to "buckets" answer.

Stout gets an offensive put-back layin by Hirrsig at the buzzer to defeat Northwestern, 65-63.  Stout was trailing by 5 with about 4min left when they had a flurry of steals and baskets to take a 3-point lead late.
