I'm in a rush, so my picks will be brief, to the delight of most of you! (hell, who am I kidding... All of you!) It's upset week in my book.

Eau Claire will stun LaCrosse.
Superior will close the game out over the Titans.
Platteville will run away with the game vs. Stout.
Drum roll please....
River Falls will upset the Warhawks (I really see them as the only team able to do so at this point.)

Here's my picks for the week!

Superior at Whitewater - Superior won't touch the Warhawks at their place. I think Young is the favorite now for POY, and Whitewater is poised to run away with the league.

Eau Claire at Stout - Losing Hjelter is tough for the Bluegolds. This is a tough game for me to pick, and I want Stout to pick up a win or two in the first round of games, but I just don't see it yet. Their offense is abysmal. They're at -20 or so per game in the WIAC. Hung with P'Ville for 30 minutes, but couldn't muster enough offense or get a stop late.

River Falls at Oshkosh - River is a nice team, as I've said before. This is a tough game for them, as the Titans can play some ball. Defensively these two teams are pretty even. But I think River has more firepower. They should be pretty juiced after their game against WW, and the "close but no cigar" taste in their mouths should equate to a big W on the road.

Platteville at Stevens Point - I like Point a bit more now than at the beginning of the year. And as Appleton Rocks so eloquently stated, they DO play D, but to me their shooting is what is so impressive! They're shooting 57% from the floor as a team on the conference season so far. They just have too much firepower. Platteville is pretty stingy defensively, ranked 2nd in the league, so this should be a battle. Tough to beat the Pointers at home though. I'm gonna watch this one for sure!
