Coppage has really quick feet today...probably the best that I've seen this year.

Last play of the quarter was a classic.  Coppage took a delay, made a juke on the blitzing LB, who came up with only air, and took it for a gain of 8.

Whew, I got to take a break too.  That was a fast paced quarter.

Blanchard could have saved a sack by just getting the ball out, but he held it and was dragged down by the numbers.

The Pointer QB is taking a lot of hits...he exposes himself on the runs and he is just getting off passes before he gets hit.

That one he didn't get hit, got a ball off to the WR sitting in the slot. The receiver turned it up field for a nice gain.

Warhawk pass D is playing very soft.  They were attacking the edge, on this drive they've been finding a hole in the zone coverage over the middle and the QB has been getting the ball to his receiver.

Just as I say it, Beau goes back to the edge with Theo Maglio - he makes a great adjustment on an underthrown pass - the DB didn't react - catches it in the air and falls into the end zone for a Pointer TD.

Not good pass D.

Dropped pass on the bubblee screen by Steve Morris.  He had a lot of room to run...but guess what?  Started to run before he tucked it in.

8 yard pass to Howard (no Menzel today) but the Hawks short of a first down and punting.  The punt hit a Pointer before it got to the deep man and a they fall on it.

Coppage has been quiet since that first quarter.

Pointers with a penalty on a bubble screeen of their own.  Beau overthrows his open man that was nearly picked by the Hawk.  One 3rd and 16, Beau never has a chance and is sacked.

Short punt goes about 20 yards on a few rolls and the Hawks take over at the Pointer 46.

On 3rd and long, Pointers blitz off the edge and Blanchard runs for his life. 4 yards short of a first down. Rosholt's punt is caught inside the 20 on a fair catch.

3 and out for the Pointers. 

Warhawks almost block the punt.

Covington fields the punt and takes it a couple yards

Illegal hit in the back and the Warhawks start at their own 35

Coppage took a stretch play to the right on first down. One cut to his right and he was a step for taking it home. Followed by a nice pass on a out route, but a penalty brings it back.

1st and 20 at the Pointer 47.

Another drop on a bubble screen by Huber.

Live stats is about 2 plays behind the tv.

Blanchard had time to throw on 3rd down, but had nothing to do but throw it away.

Ryan Olsen shaken up on the play, but walks off under his own power.

4th down punt for Rosholt  2:11 remaining in the half.

Earnest James once of the gunners for the Hawks caught the ball at the 5 and that's where the Pointers start.

Three conservative runs up the gut, bring up a 4th down and a punt for the Pointers.  26.2 sec in the half.

I see Gred Arnold on the side lines not dress today.

Sounds like the Hawks are playing some sloppy football today. Hopefully they will pull their heads out at half time

Inconsistant is how I would describe it.

Penalties - illegal substitution before UWW can snap the ball.  Blitz comes free from the right and hits Blanchard as he throws - incomplete.

2nd down - no one open, Blanchard throws it away.

3rd down - Coppage gets the ball, runs toward the line, spins to his right to reverse the field and takes a loss.  Hope he doesn't lose the record!!

2 secs left and the Pointers call TO on 4th down.  Now another TO. Blanchard throws a design play out of bounds.

Offense looked complete out of sync this quarter.

Pointers will get the ball to start the second half.

21-16 HALF   I need a break...going to make a green tea.

Too funny...the guy playing the halftime punt, pass and kick game, just missed.  Good punt out to the 50 yd line, pass down to the 5...in good shape to make a chip shot FG for the cash - he hit the left upright - then HE fell straight back on his back. Nice...
