If Wesley had the Warhawk defense, they definitely would have won last week.  In the end, the UWW offense simply stalled today.  The defense can only do so much.....

Ski, I do not see much difference.  Wesley fell victim to a 6 minute window at the end of the first half.  The defense shut out Mount except for Nemeth's 70+ yard run.  UWW has not done much to stop him at all.

I do.  Wesley did a good job carrying the clock, at least in the second half.  I think the Warhawk defense would not have allowed Wesley to get behind like it did.  Again, the UWW defense fell apart in the second half.  By that time, the Wesley offense was starting to victimize the MU secondary...... It's all conjecture anyways.  Mount Union is tough, pure and simple.

I feel like every offensive play UWW has called is the opposite of what I expected. Of course now that the D is not able to stop the run it seems like it doesn't matter much.

pg, have they been limited passing all year.  Nelson and the receivers do not look very potent as far as getting yards down the field.  I thought that with the running game they would be able to throw on Mount.  Not so today.

BoBo

T. Scott has played much better this game than Burke ever did against WW. He throws a little quirky, but he is very slippery.

Ratliff looked really gassed out there today for the rather limited number of plays he ran.

Not been pretty to watch this beating (kind of like over a decade since anything like this)...I guess you Wesley guys know, and are used to all this.

actually other than last year, Wesley hasnt been beaten like this since like 05 06.  But if it makes you feel better about today to bring up 10 years ago, I hope it works.

Wha.......?  What are trying to say exactly!!!!   Yeah, it sucks don't it?    ;)   In the end it builds character and you have to appreciate the high level these teams have achieved.  Wesley has always had to hit that wall, whether it is UWW or Mount Union.  We hope to one day finally break through it and get to the Stagg Bowl.

The color guy is so corny with his phrases. Earlier "extinguishing" and now "houston we have a problem" among several things.

I don't mind it at all when this stuff comes from student announcers - they are studets, after all, and I can only imagine what I'd sound like calling  a game - but it's reasonable to expect better from paid professionals...

...which brings up a point to me. Are the espn3 guys full time ESPN employees? I'd assume so....

Yeah they were talking about how they've done 15 games this season together.

To answer this question, no.  Both these guys are local sports broadcast media members and are contracted by ESPN for these type of games.  They operate as independent contractors.  The pbp guy is Michael Reghi, former Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland Cavaliers broadcaster, the color guy is Dustin Fox, former OSUer and NFL player.

I think that's partly because the Mount offensive line held up better this year than they ever held up against Burke, but I agree that Scott played an extremely efficient game and made two big throws that were a huge difference in the game.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

And UWW is playing without two AA corners this year as well.

You boys comparing Wesley to the Warhawks is a LOL moment. But, if THAT makes you feel better, than Merry Christmas.

Please explain how making such a comparison is so outrageous.
