Oshkosh scored a TD with 1.26 left then Carthage was driving and Oshkosh intercepted and returned it for a TD. Seemed like Oshkosh's offense was a little  off or Carthage has a good D. Oshkosh only had 32 yard passing and a little over 200 yards total offense.

That was a rough opener for UWO. Frankly Carthage was the better team for most of the day.

I don't like the qb situation for UWO. Duranso seems to have a high school arm in that everything he threw was soft and looping. As we saw today the o line isn't good enough to open holes if there's no threat of a passing game.

Defense was very good although the secondary seemed vulnerable against Carthage's backup.

UWW defense holding UD to 123 total yards - 235 for UWW.

Warhawks win their opener 38-6 at Dubuque. Warhawks defense started to dominate the game by the end of the 1st quarter & the game was never in doubt. Alex Peete with 4 rushing TD's for UWW. Lot of penalties put a damper on the win, however. Lots of stuff to clean up...very sloppy game by both teams.

UWW - 11 penalties for 157 yards kept this game from being a total blow out. Officials completely took over the game in the second half. No fun to watch - probably less fun to play in.
