They definitely could not afford the turnover.

24-6 is the final. Eagles no physical match for D2 NMU. The defense played well again, but the offense continues to lag. Let's hope the injury report is not too bad.

Proud of the way the Eagles fought, but the physical advantage for NMU was too much.  Just under 200 total yards of offense for UWL, which doesn't win many games.  Hopefully UWL can get those offensive starters back (Hertrampf, Sires and Peterson) for another tough test in just over a week at Oshkosh.

Neither Sires nor Hertrampf in for La Crosse. NMU threwa 56 yd pass on 3rd and ten from their own eight. Momentum with NMU. We need to make a big play.

The long pass was a backbreaker and it also ruined my prediction that UWL's punter would decide the game.
When UWL sacked them at the 2 or 3, I was thinking safety- that's 8 points for UWL plus the ball... and then my fantasy was ruined with a long pass down the sideline.  Ouch.

WOW  UWW only winning 3-0 at half

Not a very impressive offensive first half at Perkins Stadium. BSC hasn't been able to stop anybody in their first 2 games, and UWW can only score a FG.

Brekke has been off the mark most of the afternoon - 3 or 4 diving catches from the receivers have made his 8-14 look good. RB's Ward and Givens haven't found the hole; when there is a hole, they don't hit it with any authority. 23 rushes for 54 yards isn't Warhawk football. A screen pass to Givens showed a glimmer of Givens speed, but rather than use that speed to cross the field where there was a lot of open green turf, he cut it up into traffic for some reason. Coppage would have taken that for a long gainer.

No spark, no enthusiasm - overall, about as dull of a half as I can remember.

Even the cannon sounded like it shot a dud after the FG!!

Warhawk D forces the QB fumble on the doorstep and then Brekke proceeds to nearly give it back as he can't handle the snap. WOW!!

BoBo

Are you kidding...the second 3rd and inches for the hawks and Ward loses a couple again!! O-line and TE's getting whipped today by this BSC defense.
