The sideline reporter just made a brilliant observation - "This game might come down to defense." It's been a defensive game from the start.

Very nice stretching high leaping INT for Winske. The QB needed to put a little more air under the ball.

MasterJedi

Disgusting defense right now, letting them move the ball way too easily. Still way too much time left.

MasterJedi

We can thank UWP's awful kicker for winning this game.

BoBo

24 yard FG misses wide left. The Platt kicker missed another short one wide right earlier.

1:21 left UWW can basically end the game with kneel downs. 1 TO remaining for Platt.

It's been a real struggle.

D O.C.

Sorry to hear about the injuries.

Stretch picture and LINFIELD offense fuzzy in Portland.

Game would be closer if Lewis and Clark would quit giving up the ball in their own territory.

UWP played a lot better than they did against NCC. They're a good team but they really played their best today, might be a killer if Kelly is gone though. They still have to play UWO and other WIAC teams are always better than expected in conference play.

Offense makes me nervous though, but I think they can bounce back next week against UWO though. If UWW can win next week they're good enough to defeat the rest of the conference, and these two games in a row mean they're not going to take anyone for granted like they did against UWRF last year.

Who got banged up on uww side?

1. The Platt back up QB Jack Eddy looked like he has some talent. Kelly was on the sidelines with crutches holding him up with an apparent leg injury of some kind. Give Eddy a week to prepare with their #1, and I think he could do very well. At times, Kelly looks like he holds on to the ball too long. The stats says 6 sacks, but that seemed a little light - I thought it was closer to 10. But, either way, it was a physical, defensive game ultimately decided by just a couple plays and a defense that only broke down once and gave up only 7 points, negative yards rushing (-2) and only 3.2 yards per play overall (UWW only had 4.8).

2.  What did the offensive show you that makes you confident that they can bounce back next week? They really struggled running the ball and their most experienced WR was dropping the ball all over the place and the one receiver making plays, Korpella, had a sling on his arm for most of the second half when he went down diving for an overthrown pass. I think both defensive lines got the best of the offensive lines today. Other than Hudson's 34 yard pick up on the end around and a 15 yard Chris Nelson scramble, UWW's longest running play was only 9 yards and Ratliffe had a 2.2 YPR (and I might add 20 negative yards), Dennis Moore got hurt again and didn't look all to sure of himself in the couple carries he got prior to that - ran very cautiously. He still looked hurt. When he left the field after a run and got up slowly, he struggled to get off the field, even though he was already downed on the Warhawk sideline, but he came off and fell to the ground and layed there for what seemed like 30 seconds before, I think it was #75 came over to help him. Where was the medical staff and why didn't they come to help him? I was getting so mad - thankfully, the camera went back to the action on the field. But, something didn't look right about that. It was concerning and bothered me. We supposedly have so much depth at the RB position, but if so, why hasn't it translated into the games. Someone is going to have to step up because I'm afraid that if Ratliffe gets banged up, too (which he has been known to), UWW will have some major issues to work out. I even mentioned earlier in the updates that it appeared Nelson was having communication problems getting the play from the sidelines, especially in the first half. He seemed to be in panic mode more than a few times.  Campbell also, was injuried and had to be helped from the field twice - looked like an ankle or lower leg problem. There may have been others, as well, but #3 below prevented me from knowing about it.

3.  Lastly, and how could I forget this...the video streamed sucked like it has now for the last two years (every since it went to that Resident Life video player).  The damn thing buffers every 5 seconds for about 10 seconds, so it ends up missing play after play. And it does this continuously throughout the entire game. The only time it stopped was at halftime during the Amy Edmonds Show - she has to be the only AD with her own show on television. Once that ended, it went back to the buffering once again. The picture quality when it streamed properly, was high quality and the graphics are great, but you can't get into any flow due to it stopping all the time. Korea has the best, fastest internet service in the world, so the problem isn't on this end. I'm no computer nerd, but I believe the source is the problem. Even the Live Stats went haywire more than a few times today as well, as if the operator was a bit intoxicated and had trouble typing in the play by play. I really hope they can get this corrected. Plus, if you are reading UWW TV, get rid of that sideline reporter, she's awful and hasn't improved in 2 years. I turned on the Finlandia video stream and it was 100 % better, although there was no sound or graphics, and only 1 camera ... but it was watchable, (though I couldn't tell if there was a score) which is more than I can say about UWW's. OK, rant over.

I am not worried about the offense. We played 2 very good defenses in 10 days. History suggests that they always bounce back. Murder 's row part of our schedule is almost complete.

I had no problem whatsoever with the UWW video stream on Saturday afternoon. However, Keith did.

You're going to experience some latency in Korea just because of all the hops it takes for video to get there. One of the differences between UWW's stream and a Sidearm or Stretch stream is UWW's is surely only streaming from one spot, on campus. Whereas the commercial providers will have their streams mirrored in a couple different places. They might not go to servers mirrored worldwide but they'll surely be in a few different places, and close to the Internet backbone where you will have better performance.

What browser were you using? Uww's stream is the only one I've ever had a hard time with.  Master Jedi mentioned he was having problems with it too. Don't know where he is watching from.

Howards Grove, WI. I couldn't even get the system to recognize their was a stream.

I was using Chrome. I also didn't tune in until the third quarter so perhaps some earlier issues cleared up?

I was using IE. I'll try chrome next time, hopefully with better results.
