Warhawks counter the Wartburg TD pass with a long kickoff return by Wiz and finally Meylor strolls into the EZ for another TD. 4 play, 40 yard drive. 24-7 hawks 11:32 in 2nd.

Everything going Warhawks way. With the front 4 providing heavy pressure on the Wartburg QB to force a 4th down, Justin Prostinek takes the Wartburg punt 67 yards to the house. UWW ups their lead to 31-7. They can do nothing wrong.

The burned image of this officiating crew is the one in the white hat waving his yellow flag over his head, saying there is no foul on the play. He must have waved off 3 or 4 today. Wartburg gets a TD on a double pass that shouldn't have been waved off like the official did again. Two forward passes results in a TD pass from a WR to a WR for the Knights.

Nice to see Ponick back in the fold. Crazy old school stiff arm on sorry Wartburg defender down to the 1. He is rewarded on the next play with a TD run. 41-14 UWW 2:27 in 3rd.

It was 34-7 at one point, when UWW thought the game was over. Wartburg wasn't going for it. it is now 41-28 with wide open receivers on almost every down. Warhawks are so on their heels. And in real danger of blowing this.

Nice first quarter for the hawks. Too bad the drive ended the way it did and we had to kick the FG. But we are controlling the game tempo so far.
