Picture on the front page shows a probable Pass Interference penalty. Was it called?
It's not pass interference unless the defender uses his arm to turn or pull/push the receiver.  It's not PI simply because he has his arm on the receiver.  He's allowed that as long as he isn't using it to pull or hold.  He's clearly beside the receiver and not over/on his back.  What the picture shows is completely legal and damn good defensive back work.  There was no flag there because there was no pass interference.

I agree.  It looks like the defender was working the receiver's back to me as well.

It was the receiver who initiated the contact by backing into our defender to block him out.  Once that happens PI is pretty much off the table to begin with.  Interestingly our staff saw how they were doing that on film and worked with the D'backs during practice on dealing with it. I guess leaving no stone unturned paid off.

As long as this is a topic. I too think that defensive PI is called too often when the offensive player initiates contact. There is a fine line, though, between what is just mutual hand fighting, and actual interference. It's a tough call. and they get it right more often than not, but maybe not to the high percentage that could be reached.

So many comments about officiating. If you want to make officiating better, be an official and do the job. There are shortages of officials everywhere.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

SJU fans would rather troll WIAC games....It's easier. 😉

UWW-L announcer: "Starting quarterback Parks out with back soreness after the Whitewater game."  I thought he showed some toughness in finishing last week after taking some tough shots.

Blugolds get another turnover and get a very short field. Blugolds up 14-10.

This was one of my favorite first halves played by UWW's offense. They used pace and some motion- and matriculated the ball down the field in a controlled way. Playing great complementary team football.
