Storm-what?

What;s up with the Beaver;s losing to Mt. Mercy? Are they that good?

Dubuque wins at home by 1, 56-55 over a 1-9 Coe.  Both teams shooting 34% from the field.  Perhaps not the best played game of all time.  Then again, not too many games played by either team over the last month.

Storm-what?

Man, I wasn't at the game but  Ihonestly can't belive BV beat Simpson. Looking at their seasons up to that point I would have guessed the Storm all the way. Don't know if the Storm played weaker or the Beavers just really brought it on. Makes things a little more interesting for the remainder of the season though.

BVHawk

Looking at their seasons up to the game, Simpson was only 2 games better than BV.  Not exactly earth shattering that BV won, especially in Storm Lake.  BV outrebounding Simpson by 13 and shooting twice as many FT's also helps.

Storm-what?

Yes, but  I think SImpson had beat stronnger teams and BV had lost or almost lost to weaker teams. I'm really surprised. Looks like the Beavers shut down Whiton and Katch for SImpson. Honestly, I think it will just wake the team up and give them added incentive for the rest of the season.

BVHawk

Could be, but BV is usually pretty tough at home.

Hopefully BV doesn't overlook a down Coe team this afternoon.

At halftime Simpson is leading Dubuque 42-30

On a side note...could the Dubuque webcast PLEASE get rid of ALWAYS playing Earth Wind and Fire music during halftime???

Simpson wins 78 - 65  Dubuque had battled back from a 12 points behind at halftime to actually take a 1 point lead with about 5 minutes left.  They then ran out of steam and Simpson turned it on late.  Simpson goes to 10 - 2 overall and 2-1 in the IIAC.

Kohawk Krazy

Huge win for the Kohawk women as they beat BV on the road 74-56.  Coach Peterson really is starting to get the ladies playing well...

Charlie Kohawk

Though it's been forever since I've seen them play, sounds like things are starting to come together for the Kohawks. It was only a matter of time. Way to go ladies on your big win at BV. I can't wait for Tuesday's home game vs. Loras. I'm also curious about the newest addition to the team.
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

Storm-what?

OK, BV is all over the place this year! They shock me by beating Simpson, then lose to a 2-9 Coe team?
