Big win for the Kohawks tonight in an exciting game at Cornell. The win gives them a little separation in the race for the playoffs, although there's still work to do to earn a home game. I really love the mental toughness this team shows.
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

Coe should make the conf. tourny, but a home game is a little unlikely.

Its amazing that Karkosh hasnt been player of the week yet!

Storm-what?

Wow, the Storm really found their groove against BV, beating them 90-55! BV didn't look very deep, their players got tired and they just got railed in the 2nd half because of it. IF it weren't for Muhlbauer it would have been even worse, she seemed to be the only Beaver that could shoot last night. I said it a month ago and i will say it again, I can't imagine how this Storm team lost to the Beavers this year.

BV out-rebounded them by 13 and shot twice as many FT's.

Exact opposite happened in the re-match and the outcome explains that as well.

Central @ Coe on the 17th should be a good one!  Conference Tournament on the line.

BV took down Dubuque last night by 12.  Hopefully we're peaking for the conference tournament!

Central falls to the Kohawks in Cedar Rapids this afternoon.  Coe made more plays down the stretch.  Karkosh had an amazing game.  26 points and 17 boards!  Tough loss for the Dutch leading by points with 7 seconds to play.

Coe may have lost to Simpson tonight, but they can take pride in making great strides this season. Randi Peterson definitely has this team pointed in the right direction and they don't back down to anyone. And it's high time Amber Karkosh got IIAC player of the week honors. All she had to do was average 19 points, 13 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.5 assists per game in the week she became Coe's single season leader in points, rebounds and steals. Tonight she followed it up with 16 points, 8 boards and 5 steals in a 10-point loss to the Storm.

Fresh off the overtime victory over Wartburg, BV looks to upset Luther tonight.  Margo's been averaging over 20 points against Luther this year, now they just need to put it together on the defensive end!

Storm-what?

Let's hope BV beats Luther, so Simpson can spank BV again!!! Sorry, that was mean! I know, we actually did split this season. Anyway, no way BV beats Luther.

Besides, the Storm have to get by Loras first and that is going to tough enough.

BVHawk

Looks like Loras and Luther did the spanking last night.

Congratulations to the BV ladies on good season with a young squad.  Looking forward to next year!

Storm-what?

Yes, it does sound like it!

Simpson graduates just 1 player so expect big things next year also!
