I'm a Central fan and I don't know what happened to Andrea Clark, but she isn't out this year.  She was a great player, don't know if she couldn't take all the losses, decided to study abroad or concentrate more on upper level coursework, or if she is injured.  Brillhart is pictured, but not playing either, again, don't know what the situation is, maybe she wants to concentrate on volleyball.  Either way, without two of their best and tallest players, they have already surpassed last year's win total.  Not bad for November.  Hopefully the players stepping up stay healthy and we can finally be a little competitive.

Good luck Dutch!

We will get a quick glance at how good the league  will be this year.
Simpson plays preseason # 6 Wisconsin Stevens Point tonight in Storm Lake.

Coe plays  preseason #9 Carthage at  home Saturday.  Carthage beat Coe last year on Carthage's home court by seven points.  I believe Carhage graduated only one starter from last years team.

Go Coe and Simpson do the league proud.

Is anyone else getting upset with the IIAC website?  The composite schedules don't give results.  The scores are missing.

I would love to see a IIAC school knock off a top 25 school.  Simpson goes down.  Coe loses by 5, and Cornell of the Midwest conference loses to Illinois Wesleyan by 15.  Maybe Loras can shoot down Carthage in a couple of days.

I guess the conference decided to take the Thanksgiving weekend off?!?!  It would be nice to have a little more info out there.

Once again, I'm beginning to think that perhaps my high expectations for both the mens and womens teams at UD were maybe a little too high for reality >:(

Doolittledog don't panic yet.  Adams State and CSU Pueblo are DII schools.    Both teams received votes in the DII preseason poll

If your coach uses the same schemes he used last year in their second game against Coe he should get two wins there.

Loras loses at Carthage 58 to 57 best showing IIAC against a top ten team yet.  Would still like to see the IIAC teams win some of these.  Did anyone see the game they held Carthage to a very low shooting percentage?

No talk on here about the Big Game today?  Defending IIAC Co-Champions squaring off in the second IIAC game of the year!

I'll take the Kohawks 71-70 on a late jumper by Kayla Lincoln.

About 10 minutes left in the Cornell @ UD game.  Back and forth game so far...I've only seen the 2nd half after a BIG dinner.

Sizable group of Cornell supporters.  Wonder how many they will bring to St. Norbert in a couple seasons when Cornell is in the MWC???

Cornell beats UD 63-45...I believe it was 36-35 with about 10 minutes left...wow!!!

Wydown Blvd.

Central and Loras both face WashU this weekend. What should I expect from either team?

Does Loras have the chance to pull the upset tomorrow? Loras has a lot of common opponents (Elmhurst, Augustana, UChicago, IWU) and almost beat Carthage.

I haven't followed the IIAC closely over the last couple years.

How about those Kohawks getting a big win over #19 Wisconsin-lacrosse?

Krazy I wrote my wife on the afternoon before the game and predicted a twenty point loss.  The Coe Hawks were able to break the press, shoot for per centage, and run their offense for a change.  They looked like last years team.  After the Simpson game I had doubts that Coe would beat anything above a mediocre team.  Hope they can keep it up.

The nice thing about basketball is that you have a long season.  If you start off a little slow, you still have time to turn your season around.  Unlike in football!!!

Doolittle our favorite IIAC teams play Wed.  Coe fans are worried about what happened last year when Coach Noll shut Coe down in the second game.  Hopefully Noll will have forgotten what stategy he used.

Happy New Year to all.
