I doubt I'll be able to twist my husband's arm enough to go to Indianola on a weekday, so I missed out when Simpson was in Storm Lake earlier in the year.

Not much chatter on here this week.  Most of the games this past weekend went the way they were supposed to I guess.

Big game tonight at Eby.  Hopefully the Kohawk women get back on the winning track tonight!

Haven't seen any games lately, but I was just checking out the standings and seems to be a log jam at the bottom of the conference. 3 teams at 2-5 and then Central sitting at 3-5. UD has slowly floated back to the bottom and I saw that they suffered an excruciating 2nd half against Loras a couple weeks ago. Anyone seen them play lately? And how are the Norse looking?

Kohawk Krazy

Looks like the Norse are playing pretty well, as they sit on top of the conference and blew Simpson out by 24 points.  Hopefully the Kohawks show up to play tomorrow night and can pull off the upset of the year...

Storm-what?

I, of course, see the Luther game as a blip for the Storm and think we'll get them in the rematch.

Picks this week:
SC over Central
Luther over Coe (this is the only one that differs from my picks for the men tonight)
BV over Cornell
Wartburg over UD.

Kohawk Krazy

The Kohawks were no doubt in the game tonight the whole way through and very well could have won it.  With :50 left, down by 3, Karkosh drove to the lane, made the layup and got fouled, only to have the foul called as a charge on her and the basket waved off.  Luther goes on to score 8 straight points on Free Throws and the game is over...

It's just amazing watching the fight that the girls have in the 7 player rotation that Coach Peterson has...

Yeah and it was interesting that the foul call didnt come from the official right in front of the play, but instead by the ref standing just inside of halfcourt running in from behind the play.

Storm-what?

Wow, great game in Indianola! Luther by 4 points- few minutes left.

Storm-what?

Man! 40 seconds left- Storm down by 4. Just missed two shots in the paint. Might have been the game with that miss!

BV seems to be back on track after winning 4 in a row and hosting Central tomorrow night.

Where you there, youcantseeme? I was courtside, and the foul was clearly called by the official in the best position to make it. Fact is, it would have been a great no-call, given the situation. The Lutherans would still have led by 1, and basketball would have decided it. Instead, she turned it into a foul-and-shoot-free-throw deal. Coe deserved better after battling so hard for 40 minutes.

Big road win for the Kohawks tonight over Wartburg. Five double digit scorers is encouraging. Keep bringing it ladies.

Big game tomorrow for the Kohawks as they host BV.  Hopefully the women come out with a win like they did in Storm Lake a few weeks ago.
