Sat. 1/2 time scores

Luther 31, Cornell-29
Simpson-44, UD-32
Coe 44, BV-36
Loras  37, Central-32

Thanks for the updates.  Is there any audio for the Simpson/UD game???  Dubuque isn't doing it and I didn't notice any audio links on the Simpson website.

lorbec47

There is audio on the simpson/ud game. It was dang-near impossible to find on the simpson site. I eventually had to type it in on a search from their site.

go to www.redzonemedia.com, scroll down, it's there.

Don't know why it's hidden so well...oh wait, their announcers are the WORST EVER!! I want to hit my head against the wall, but it's better than nothing.

Thanks lorbec...i'll give it a listen.  It will be tough for them to be worse than the Coe announcers but we will see I guess.  Thanks again for the link.

Storm-what?

I don't know where you looked but it's ONE click in to the website... if you click on athletics there is a HUGE icon/link that says "Red Zone Media" listen to live games.

ANyway, I didn't listen to the game so I can't comment on the announcers.

Regarding the Simpson announcers.  I haven't listened to the womens game but I am listening to the archived broadcast of the mens game.  They aren't great but they are students and our expectations shouldn't be too high for them just yet.  For students, I don't think they are doing too bad of a job.  Much much better than the Coe announcers.  I can at least listen to this and I like the fact they have two kids doing the broadcast.

Dubuque uses a DJ from a local radio station and he does a good job of pbp.  But, he is by himself and I find myself missing the input of a color guy.

What if you click on the women's basketball page?

If you want to listen to the Simpson/Luther game this Saturday at 2pm, use this link
and underneath the Simpson football dude click the RED ZONE MEDIA icon

BTW does anybody think that the Norse can pull the upset?

To make things simplier, here is the direct link for Simpson College Women's Basketball games on www.redzonemedia.com;

For the record, we use a combination of students, professionals, and myself to broadcast the basketball games.  If there is an issue, please contact me directly at matt.turk@simpson.edu  and I'll be glad to discuss it further.

Pat Coleman

Matt -- you should get that link on your basketball pages. :)

Pat,

Considering its on the front page of my website with the line "listen to live games"  I figured it was pretty self explanitory  ;)

Pat Coleman

Sure -- but not everyone goes through the front page. If you google Simpson women's basketball, do you get to the Simpson athletics front page or the Simpson women's basketball page?

You can't control how people use the site -- even I've given up that hope and tried to affect it by bringing the top headlines to the message board at the top of the page, etc.

I for one think it's highly unlikely that Luther wins.  I forsee them losing by at least 15.

Predictions for tomorrow nights games?  Any underdog teams that can get hot down the stretch?

iiacchamps

My predictions for Wednesday's games:

BV over Wartburg
Simpson big over Central (how did Central win 2 games?)
Dubuque in a close one over Cornell
Coe beats Loras in a scrappy game (didn't Loras start 10-0, have only won 3 of last 10-did they
play anyone in the non conference?)

I think Coe is one team that nobody wants to play come tournament time.  They are a scrappy team and they refuse to  quit.
Another team would be BV as a darkhorse to make a run at the tourney.  BV is 1/2 game behind Wartburg
for the 6th seed in the conference tourney.  With their shooters and ability to score a lot of points, they could cause problems for some teams down the stretch.

Has anybody heard of any cancellations for tonights games?  I have heard the Central @ Dubuque wrestling meet has been postponed until thursday and wondered of any other IIAC games have been as well.
