pucci is off the list becuase she plays for loras...she can etch  her name in there but no where else, becuase everywhere else has legit records....bottom line she isn't that good and wouldnt start at simpson....our second team would start anywhere else.... ;D any haters get over it cuz we've at least beat you by ten....MVP Ashley Katch she led the nation in blocks last year ...why shoudn't she be the conference MVP...IIAC made a good choice last year with luthers chick, who remembers her, since she doesn't even play anymore...

Loras is currently 4th in the conference standings.  By your logic I guess no one from the 5 teams below Loras deserve to make all conference either.  Though I think you might possibly have been joking around in your post.

Even if done with tounge in cheek, to say that the backups at Simpson would start for every other team in the conference is ignorant.  Especially when all of the Simpson starters would not start for every team in the conference.

Big games tomorrow night...

Simpson at Coe - Kohawks clinch #2 seed with a huge upset...
BV at Central - Beavers clinch IIAC berth with win over last place Central
Loras at Cornell - Rams get in IIAC Tourney with two wins this week and a Wartburg Loss (I Think)
Wartburg at Luther - Wartburg in Tourney with a win, Luther needs two wins to lock up #2 Seed

Should be some good games...

birds of prey

The Rams are out of contention with just a 3-11 conference record. Loras 7-7. UD 7-8, BV 6-8, and Wartburg 5-9 are vying for the final three playoff spots.

I hope Coe can knock of Simpson. If not, I hope it's at least a close one.

I'm watching the video streaming of the Luther game.  That is a pretty nice feature.

Boy the Kohawks are fun to watch. That's a fine Simpson team they went toe-to-toe with for most of the game. Looking forward to a nice tourney run by these ladies. They don't back down to anyone.

I'm watching the video streaming of the Luther game.  That is a pretty nice feature.

I went to the Luther/Wartburg BB game the other night.  Only 16 student/fans made the trip from Waverly to verbally spar with the 200 Luther student/fans.  Years ago, you couldn't get a seat if you weren't there an hour before tip-off.

I wonder if the kids stayed home and watched the webcast since it was a Tuesday game or if the rivalry between the two schools has cooled.

FYI - I think Luther is planning to webcast spring and fall sports too.  I've also heard that other schools in the conference are thinking of ding the same.

Krazy had the spread about right, but man what an intense game. Credit to BV for bringing it. Sara Anciaux exploded for 27 points and Amber Karkosh was her usual 18-point, 10 rebound, six assist and two steal self. The Kohawks are going for their 20th win Thursday at Luther.

What a great game at Loras last night!!! Whether you a DU or a DuHawk fan it was a competitive matchup for most of the game. Both teams got after each other and the officials were not a factor... Congrats to Dubuque and Coe on their wins last night; and good luck to all the teams in the semi-finals!! ;D

Great game at Loras the other night, too bad someone had to lose it.  Loras couldn't put away UD early after building a 14 point lead, so thats a definite testament to the Spartans ability not to go away.  Once again UD was able to make the shots underneath and convert when they needed to.  Lisa Morrissey and Natalie Pucci did their best down the stretch to win it Loras, but it wasn't enough.  Should be some good match-ups in the semis...can anyone get past Simpson?
Not going to lie...Dewey is a pretty good looking bird/furry beaked body builder.

From the write-up on the game it does sound like it was a classic.  Big early lead by Loras followed by a big comeback by Dubuque and then the whole 2nd half it sounded like one team would get a 3 or 4 point lead and then the other team would then take a 3 or 4 point lead.  All kinds of lead changes and it came right down to a last second shot.  Would have been a fun one to watch.

I don't think anyone beats Simpson from the IIAC...but who knows...basketball is a funny game.

Predictions on tonight's games:

Simpson comes out firing and never lets up, cruising by Dubuque with a 23 point win.

The Norse and Kohawks have a dog fight all night long, with the Kohawks pulling out a 3 point win.
