Congrats to Utica on a program defining win. They deserved it. The program has taken its lumps, but this is a victory to hang your hat on. Please don't let what follows take anything away from the win, but I'm going to vent

As for Ithaca...

The Bombers' offensive line is atrocious. I know, we're not supposed to rip on players, so I'll rip on a coaching staff that failed to recruit the position and fail to call plays to put the team in a position for success. But seriously, it's singlehandedly killed the team over the last two seasons. I've never seen a team so inept in close yardage situations.

First Quarter, first and goal from the two. Three runs gain one yard
Later in first, 3rd and 1 from the 4. Two yard loss
Fourth quarter, 1st and goal from the five. Four runs gain four yards

Three possessions inside the FIVE yard line gets them seven points.

Seriously. It's insanity. Literally, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Two straight years of this nonsense. I don't blame the players too much. They're trying, and I respect that, but I have to call it as I see it. The offensive line has, two years running, derailed the entire season.

Faggiano outcoached Welch. Called blitzes all day, knowing the Bombers could do nothing to stop them. Hats off to Blaise for a great job.

So much for the Bombers' streak of winning seasons. This team won't win three straight games. They'll be lucky to win one.

Will Pluff, the defensive coordinator, did a terrific job with his defense today... using No. 11, Zach Jensen, a wide receiver, as a rushing end/linebacker: he was in Neumann's way all day long.

Fisher scored a huge win today beating the Pride 33-6. I thought the Fisher offense moved the ball much better today than the first several games, and the SC defense is not terrible. Big win for the Cardinals.

Fisher defense was outstanding today. They allowed only 9 first downs, 178 totals yard and just 132 yards rushing.
