I wish they would run a lot more option if he is going to be the QB. Last year they decided to use his legs instead of trying to keep the run/pass balance. That is when they started to turn the corner last year. I would like to see a more traditional QB if this is the offense they are going to run.

I'm fine with Kramer at QB, but let's just let him run the ball. In the first game Kramer had 35 carries and the team put up over 400 yards of offense. In the 2 games since he has had 7 carries (team put up 258 yards (that includes a 92 yard TD catch)), and 14 carries (team put up 338 yards).

If we are putting all our eggs in the Kramer basket then let's go all in and have him run the ball 20+ times a game. If not then let's put Fenti in and use Kramer as a back and in the wild cat.
GO FISHER!!!

Or see if Chris Sharpe has any eligablity left and needs a few classes? :)

Honestly, dlip agrees with sjfcards. As a coach you must get the best from your players and match your offense to your players' best abilities. Kramer is a beast with the ball in his hands, so ****ing athletic. why force him to be uncomfortable more than you have to. Use the pass sparingly, run the **** out of the football, and let your athletes make more plays. Honestly, just knowing he is somewhat capable of the long pass will hold defenses back a bit. Run Kramer on the option like ****ing Ali Sheeba and work from there. Just some thoughts. :)

Anyone know anything about fenti. From what I hear from my son and other players no one really respects him and thinks Kramer is the best qb on the team. My sons words "one throw fenti looks unreal the next five he looks awful. He has a huge arm but can't read coverages and not a good leader ." If  that's the truth in the locker room and coaching staff I understand Kramer there. Kramer would be better at rb but fisher would be worse I feel. Team chemistry has lways had a huge role in how vosburgh coaches.

I have heard similar issues re: Fenti. What I saw during the scrimmage was that Fenti was able to make all of the throws. He has a much better arm than Kramer, but is much more of a pocket passer. He continually threw the ball over the top of the Alfred State D, and was accurate from what I saw.

The coaches see these guys every day, so they must know something about the Fenti option that we don't. My thought is more along the lines of use Kramer, but let's adjust the approach to make sure we use him to the max!

I agree completely ... can't make any debates off of Alfred state second string defense... they are an AVERAGE high school team. Gotta be more issues than an arm deciding the position . If its a character or team chemistry reason, I continue to respect coach vosburgh then. I'm a Kramer fan so I won't complain

Buff St & AU update:

10-7 Buff St at the half.

Buff St missed a 22yd FG in closing seconds of the half.

AU's only points came on a blocked FG return for a TD.  They did move the ball on one drive and were stopped on a 4th and goal at the 1.

Not sure if it's the weather that's the reason for all of the incompletions but Buff St QB is 9/23-160yds 1td/1int and AU's QB is 6/15-52 yds.

AU takes opening kickoff of 2nd half and marches down the field to go ahead 13-10, EP was blocked.

AU went for a 4th and 6 on Buff St's 21yd line to keep drive alive.

Sounds like an interesting game in Buffalo!

Dare I say upset alert?

Or is it too early?

Or am I talking to myself?

No we hear you Upstate. Man some crazy stuff going on so far today.

AU stops Buff St on 4th down inside AU's 20 yard line.

AU then takes the ball and marches down the field to take a 20-10 lead on a 31 yard TD run.

4:33 left in 3rd quarter!

Yeah there is, I'm watching the Port/Kean game while following the AU & Bart games on play by play.

Could be a big shake up in the east if things keep going this way.
