Fisher forces a 3 and out...

O takes over and 3 straight passes with no motion in the backfield by the O and surprise, surprise a Fisher 3 and out...

Good luck to SJF today Upstate. Dlip hopes they win this one convincingly over Wick.

Wow! Just got to check in on the scores and almost fell off my chair when I saw the AU/Buff State score. Anyone following the game know if it is AU playing that well, or Buff state not looking quite itself?

I just got home from the "Whupping" that Alfred put on my beloved BENGALS. Cant speak about the first half but when I arrived Buff State was up 10-6. 1 min later Alfred scored...and just kept scoring! The game was never close in the 2nd half.

There was a fear that my BENGALS would still be relishing last weeks victory. I can't say that that was the case. I can say that they were thoroughly outplayed in every facet of the game.Congrats to AUpepband ( met him as I was leaving) and the hundreds of Alfred fans who traveled to Buff State for the game!

Im still proud of my BENGALS. I just hope that the counseling office on campus is open today because there cant be a team in America that is more confused about thier identity than the BENGALS

Keep your head up pal. The Bengals will be back to fight another day and absolutely nothing will take away from what they did last week. +k for the classy post with no excuses.

Thanks Dlip. I needed that!

O-line is dominant today, really getting great push and giving Kramer a ton of time to go through his reads.  Defense is making some solid tackles in space and really holding Wick in check.

16-0 Fisher, 11 left in half.

Totally agree...we are going to have to get something going, or this could get away from us quickly...

Additionally, the Fisher D is as advertised...we haven't been able to do hardly anything so far...

Yeah if not for some key tackles the score would be different.  Fisher would send two-three guys off an edge and Wick would have a draw or delay to the opposite side but wouldn't get anywhere because one of those guys made the tackle from behind.

Pep checking in en route home from Coyer Field during a stop at Timmy Ho's. Pep might have headed east to Rochester to watch the 'wick and the Fish but Pep's flourishing social life calls for attendance at a Poor Taste Birthday Party in Alfred Station. Pep's got his priorities.

As for today's game, Tyler DeRosa suffered an injury on the first half drive that ended on the Buff State 1-yard-line. Pep heard something about possibly broken leg. Pep did see DeRosa on crutches and hopes for the best for Tyler.

With DeRosa out and AU running the Wildcat, Dwyer handed off to the "Ever Ready" DeRosa backup, soph Chuck Beckwith, who showed great promise in his freshman year but suffered a season-ending injury in a scrimmage at Susquehanna that Pep attended with the late Carl T. "Holy" Moses (and heavy on the "holy") back in 2010. Beckwith was red-shirted and the beast has been working himself back into form, which was evident today when the door of opportunity opened for him.

Defense today--both line play and secondary--was stellar today. Pep was well pleased.

Nothing pleased Pep any more today than the opportunity at halftime to chat with Julio Fuentes, who is currently taking classes at Jamestown CC-Olean in addition to continuing his rehab. The kid has an unbreakable spirit. Pep is excited to see what opens for him as he looks to a slight change in direction to focus on "sports psychology" to assist players like himself who suffer dibilitating injuries. It was just awesome to see him. More on Julio later.

And finally, it was great to meet bengalsrule, a class act, at the end of the game. Good luck to the Bengals the rest of the way.

Yikes...about to be 23-0 Fisher.  We need a score before half in a bad way.  Anyone know who gets the ball to start the second half?

Miller runs it in from 18 yards out and the kicker tacks on the EP...

23-0, 6 minutes left in the half...

Fisher is out rushing Wick 146 to -3 right now...

Not to worry Bengals.  AU has been through similar situations over the years plenty enough.  Hopefully, a rebound will come your way and the Bengals will still surprise some E8 teams down the road this year.  Best of luck and don't ever give up.

Yikes, pick 6 by Fisher's burdick...

29-0 with the EP to go...

Yeah...rough, rough half.  Not going to win many games when with 5 minutes to go in the half you have -3 rushing yards as a team, and are 4-13 through the air with 2 interceptions...let alone a game against a top ten team in the country.

Man AU fans are always a class act...

Never too high after a big win and never too low after a loss...

Good win for you guys...
