Apparently Buff State thought the end of the season was 2 weeks ago.

Jonny Utah

Bombers freshman Josh Oliver almost had his second TD of the day out of the wildcat formation.  Hold brought back the TD.

4 minutes in the half, 24-3

SUADC

Wow...blocked FG, just the spark Buff St. need. Come on D, lets hold'em!

Jonny Utah

Utica gets the ball back and has a great drive to make it 24-10.

Ithaca has the ball at the 50 with 13 seconds left

SUADC

So much for hold'em. 20-7 Salisbury still up.

Jonny Utah

Frank Rossi

#3381
Score of note:

#4 UW-Whitewater 0 @ #13 UW-Platteville 14 (Late 1st Qtr)

[EDIT: It's really weird right now how UW-W is having trouble on offense.  After a sack on 2nd & 5 made it 3rd & about 16, UW-W throws a short slip screen that gains 7 yards with no major protection to allow a breakaway.  Something is just not right compared to the past years I've watched this team.  Remember, a loss today, and their playoff hopes are almost gone -- they'd have to likely rely on two Platteville losses in Conference play.]

SUADC

Interception by Salisbury, great play. Except for this penalty.

SUADC

That should wrap it up. Final Score 20-7 Salisbury Wins. Way to get the win with the freshmen at QB.

Jonny Utah

Josh Oliver has another wildcat touchdown.  31-10 bombers with 14 minutes to go in the game.

Jonny Utah

Utica on a nice drive in 2 minutes but has the point blocked.  31-16 Ithaca with 12 minutes left in the game.

Jonny Utah

Another nice drive by the bombers.  38-16 with 3 minutes left in the game.

Jonny Utah

Utica drives and scores, but has another blocked xp, this one returned for 2 points.

Ithaca up 40 to 22.

Alright, I'm on board. The Bombers are 4-0, and this was an impressive win over a solid team. The Bombers were in control the entire game. Thoughts:

The Bombers have their quarterback. Phil Neumann has improved so much in one year, it's almost scary. His decision-making is better, his throws have more zip. His first touchdown pass to Prugar and his throw late in the game to Joe Ingrao were the kind of throws you didn't see from him enough last year, hard, decisive, and accurate. Can't say enough about how good he looked. He's playing as good as Zappia and Grastorf, in my mind.

His line: 25-of-32, 310 yards, 2 TD's, 0 picks. He's got nine touchdowns and 1 interception this season.

Joe Ingrao...what is there left to say? He's simply outstanding. You know he's going to get the ball, but he's open anyway. Fantastic hands, as he brought in really the game-clinching throw with one hand. 10 catches, 174 yards and a score.

On the season, Ingaro has 35 catches, 488 yards and 4 touchdowns and may be the best WR in the E8.

The Wildcat formation with Oliver: Yes please. The Bombers finally abandon trying to run it straight ahead with their running backs, and got creative. Fantastic.

Clay Ardoin looks like a different back as well. Much quicker, and incredibly physical. Broke a lot of tackles too. He's got 540 yards in four games.

All in all, I'm a believer. While still a long way from E8 heavyweight, the Bombers are much improved. 7-3 is in the realm of possibility.

Well done Ithaca. God the ****in E8 is deep. Dlip was very impressed with Utica and well...let's just say this makes dlip believe Ithaca is better than dlip thought. Congrats to the Bombers! As Steve Perry says HOLD ON :)
