Honestly, on the balance of the game, I can't really be mad.  If you need to comeback from 24 down to post a win, you leave yourself open to not getting it.  Credit to Utica, they earned this one.  Just hard to believe after all of that, it was the Ithaca D who just let that fade pass happen.

Every year that Ithaca has a great Defense, it is the shorter defensive backs who end up getting beat the most.  That seems to be the constant for Ithaca defenses.

Hartwick and Cortland in to Overtime??? Tied at 42????  Any given Saturday!

Cortland lives on the ledge once more ......48-45 OT

Hartwick twice overcomes 14 point deficits, the second 35-21 early in the third quarter. Wick FG provides OT lead. Corts' S. Ferreira 11 yd. TD pitch to J. Smith on third down wins it. Cortland secondary again picked apart --- J. Garcia 29x51 for 440 of team's 496 yards, and 5 TDs. But his two INTs lead to pair of second quarter RDragon TDs. Ferreira 23x35, no INT and 4 TDs for 262 yards. Cortland with 479 offensive yards

AND hosts saved by the bell when Hawks on the march inside the 15 to conclude regulation ....

The Wick QB was a stud in HS. He was Jon Babin's HS QB. Great combo on the field. The next few weeks scare me with Buff State, BPort, Alfred ,and Morrisville on the slate. All solid offenses while we have a non existent defense in the pass game.
Taste It!

Dare we say ......Cortland magic at an end .....Three minutes left, Bengals turn back RDragon bid inside the 20.

Buffalo St. takes 29-21 lead  with just over seven minutes left. Short TD Ertel pass extends Bengal lead. BS wearing down RDragons' defense with clutch third and fourth down conversions -- all game.

A. Ertel 23x42, 248 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs .....

Buff St's D. Stewart breaks free for 84 yd. TD run late in the third quarter for go-ahead score late in the third period
