IC being methodical and doing very well in their first drive for sure. Will they be able to punch it in?

pg04

Oh no. Ithaca drives for just about 8:30 to start the game and comes up with no points after a missed Field Goal from about 24 yards out.

No. They miss a short FG.  Like I've complained about before, when that fullback comes in on 2nd and long, the opponents linebackers fly up real quick and stuff them.  When there is no fullback and they run that deep zone, the linebackers stay at depth and IC has a better job running.  Then on 3rd and long/goal, predictable passing formation, straight dropback and no one open.  They need more misdirection on every play.

It's very early but that could kill a team that has struggled all year.

Cortland looked pretty good on that one before stalling. So both offenses moved it on their first drives. Not having paid close attention, is Ithaca's kicking game an issue? It seems like kicking is stunningly bad at the D3 level.

Everything has been an issue in these Cortaca games for the bombers the last 10 years.

Watching the Buff State/Brockport SD feed and the Cortaca nice feed simultaneously is playing tricks on my eyes.

pg04

Buff Stae botches a punt and Brockport scores a few plays later 7-0 with 8 seconds left in the 1st quarter.

Cortland driving into IC territory.  IC tough against the run but giving up key passes when it counts on play action.

Jonny Utah

sack, Cortland punting midfield.

Quick moving first half.  IC ball at their own 10.  About 5 minutes left in the half.  3-0 Redguys

Quick moving first half.

I honestly was just about to say that. It's the textbook definition of quick moving so far.

We've been missing the yellow and incompletions until that last play, ha.

I hope Ithaca is setting something up.  Even the announcers have caught on that they run the ball on every first down.  Then a QB draw gets stuffed that looked horrible.  Predictable offense is what it comes down to.

Cortland now driving inside IC territory.
