Fisher was putting on a clinic and driving down inside Cortland's 20...

Chambers gets the carry and seems to have an easy TD but is tripped up and drops the ball on Cortland's 10 yard line...

Still 24-17 Fisher...

Naton tosses TD pass for 31-17 Fisher lead entering the final frame. Cortland no answer for Cardinal passing game .... and RDragons auditioning  qbs between fr D. Walker and sr K. Schneider ...

It's a tale of two squads

Fisher O might be a top 3 of all time in terms of how good they are

Fisher D might be the worst second to '91

Cortland drove right down the field, running lanes wide open

I said it last week -- the D-Line for SJF is terrible, they are getting pushed around.  The only time they stop the run is with a blitzing backer

Side note, love my Cardinals, but that was a cheap shot on the Cortland QB that took him out to sidelines

I do not understand why you think this defense is so bad.  It's better than what they were a lot of the Fox years.  Are you Fox?  Is that it?

Also, you owe me karma.

You're right I do

and do you understand now??   these running lanes are ridiculously   D-Line is out of shape and terrible technique

Cortland within 31-24 on A. Wasserman TD run at 7:33 of fourth quarter. Fisher to punt on next possession ...

Fisher having to contend with two-headed CSt quarterbacks. Cortland driving late inside the SJF 20 ....

D. Nelson picks off tipped pass for Fisher under three-minutes  .....

Fisher takes it!

Nice win by the Cardinals. Survive and advance

A win is a win, but man it was ugly.  Fisher has no killer instinct

And to Boobey -- if you watched the 4th QTR then you watched what I've saying since week 1 -- the Fisher D is terrible.  And if a team can run the ball they will clobber Fisher.

Cortland figured that out late in the game and when trailing only ran the 9 plays in a row.  The only thing that saved Fisher's but is a dropped ball by Cortland WR that went into hands of secondary of SJF.

Fisher O is really really good -- Fisher D absolutely Blows.

Still, considering they were 800-point underdogs...

Exciting finish to Cort-Fisher game. Nelson with those 2 INTs was huge.

Looking like the E8 may run thru Rochester this year....

I still think the defense was fine.  I see how you could think that given the scoring drive in the 4th quarter but essentially they had to contend with 3 different quarterbacks today...I would bet the mortgage they didn't game plan for that.  Especially when Cortland essentially switched offenses completely in the middle of the second half to an option style.

They're giving up on average 18.3 points per game.  If you take away the field goal today that resulted from the fumbled punt return on our 11 yard line as well as the touchdown last week because of the botched snap also on a punt that left the ball on our 3 yard line...then the defense is giving up around 15 points per game.

How is that all time bad?

Hartwick up 35-31. Long live team Boltus

How about Port getting thrashed week 1, struggles to put away Alfred St and now trailing Wick...

Could be a long year for Fox at his new job...
