Mustangs get cute on a fake punt to an offensive lineman at midfield...

Fisher takes over on their own 40...

Brockport wins 35-28. Utica choked twice inside the Brockport 10 . 2 great chances to tie the game up.  Turned it over both times. A fumbled snap that rolled all the way to the 45 and a 100 yard pick 6. They kept it close but were in chase mode rest of the way. Good win for Brockport. Best win since Ithaca last season. Finally beat a team ahead of them in the standings. Andrews rushed for almost 240 yards. Utica's defense couldn't stop the run against a bigger Brockport team. Uticas RB Burnett averaged less than 4 yards a carry.

Congrats to Brockport's win over Utica ...not surprised....Andrews is a horse....this is a tough never give up team based on the week 1 game I witnessed

Defense just got gashed...

A stupid personal foul by a DL and then a trick play put the Mustangs in great position to punch it in...

21-14 with under 2 minutes to play in the half...

Good news is that Fisher gets the ball after half time...

Nearing the end of the first quarter and the game is still 0-0 between Fisher and Utica.

But the commentator has scored about 15 blunders.  Announcing incorrect down and distances, player names, saying Fisher had a 3 and out when it wasn't the case, etc.  He's trying though folks!

Well in a bit of an upside down day it's still 0-0 in the 2nd.  Fisher's offense is struggling mightily but the defense has made big plays so far.

The commentator's lack of knowledge is starting to bother me.  It was 4th and about 18 for Utica and they punted...a bogus roughing the kicker call was made, although the punt still landed at the Fisher 1 yard line.  The commentator was saying how Utica will likely decline the penalty because the punt was so good.

Riiiiiiight.  Yeah, they'll forsake the penalty yardage and automatic first down in Fisher territory because the punt was good.

D O.C.

What's with the Utica field and all the colors? Did they have a rave there Friday night?

boobyhasgameyo

That's Utica's field.

The camera is killing me today!  It's not following the football in the air.  You get to guess if it's a pass or incomplete haha.

**Whoops, I see you modified it to say Utica's field. **

Utica strikes first to make it 3-0.  About half way through the 2nd.

Brockport was down 14-3 to Ithaca, but retake the lead 17-14. Cutting up Ithaca with the QB runs on the option.

There was a lot of talk this week about some game well before I was born between Hobart and Alfred.  Perhaps jdex had lingering thoughts of that game in his mind.

Naton is back at QB this week by the way but to say he is struggling is a bit of an understatement.  Just threw his second or third interception (I think second) but the last one was in Utica's endzone on a terrible throw.  He was scrambling and extending the play, trying to make something happen, but some throws just aren't worth the risk and that one qualified.

Fisher is down 9-0 at the half.  I believe they receive the ball to start the second half.

They do, but they need to show some life here, or today could he a very long day.

Yes, yes ........Saxons .....and speaking of being savaged!!  Alfred 17, Cortland 0 at the half  ....a yawner as far as Cortland is concerned. Alfred with 278 yards, Corts 78 ......

Alf qb T. Johnson 10x15, 137 yards, 1 TD.  RDragons with eight punts and kicker S. Cronin has actually been his team's top performer -- except for one-yard shanker leading to short-field Saxon TD. Otherwise about as dreary a Cortland performance in many a moon!!!!

Deepest Cortland penetration to its own 46!!!

Cland qb R. VanGalen 8x18, 54 yds ..
