Who was begging?  Who ever said we should have been ranked in any region polls?  Who ever said they would beat anyone?  I don't ever remember anyone bragging...

We all knew we lost a lot last year.  It is tough to lose an all time D3 player and expect the same results.  We should throw all efforts against UC, get to 5-3...and then see if we can play tough against Fisher.

If I were an IC fan, I would worry more about not getting thumped by Springfield, Alfred, and Cortland.  You should also be worried about why IC let someone as disgusting looking as Steve Phillips girlfriend into your school...I expected that from RPI maybe...but not IC...

Yeah, we probably should worry about those games. Very few people have been tougher on IC than I have. In fact, wasn't I the one who said the Bombers were "staring down the barrel of a 5-5 season?" Oh yeah, I was.

And, as a Hartwick fan, you'd know quite a bit about getting thumped by Alfred and Springfield. Not Cortland though. I guess being a competent football team took them out of the running to show up on Hartwick's OOC schedule huh?

BoSox wasn't playing the no respect card...what he said is pretty much the truth.  It has nothing to do with trying to gain respect...if you are trying to get that on here...you are an idiot.  Utica got more credit for playing IC tough this year then Wick did for beating them 2 years ago.  It happens...oh well.  Part of that is DewCrew using about 30%-40% of the ATR write up each week for UC...but you get the idea.  We lost today to a very good Springfield team.  If we are that bad...who is your signature win against this year?  2-5 SLU, 3-4 Widener, 0-7 Frostburg State, or the "upstart" 3-4 Utica Pioneers?

Who said they deserved credit for being 4-0? I was the first to say that until they started confrence play that you couldn't say how good or bad they really are. And in past years there's no way in hell you can disagree with the fact that Hartwick didn't get any respect. Hartwick beats Fisher its a fluke, Utica plays fisher tough and the whole east better watch out. Hartwick loses to Curry its the biggest embarrassment ever, Ithaca loses to Curry at home and that's just swept under the couch......That's all the past tho....As for this year I think its time for a Hartwick Starting QB switch...

I do agree with the Hartwick posters on this one. If you check the posts, Hartwick beating Ithaca was a fluke, and the loss to Curry meant they were the worst team ever. When Ithaca lost to Curry many took it as Curry making a name for themselves regionally. Do I think Utica is getting to much credit for playing close games? The answer is yes. You are right about the Curry losses not being treated equally.

But the thing is, which name carries more weight in D-III? Ithaca or Hartwick? I mean, that does matter if we're talking perception. Is it fair? No. But that's how it is.

Also, I think the way Hartwick and Ithaca got there played into that. In 2007, Hartwick entered that game with a point differential of +37 (379-342). Ithaca entered the game with a point differential of +163 (379-216). That, plus the IC game being on the road, made that a bigger win

Right on the money. Go back and look at those scores for IC-UC since 2001, when UC started football. I was there for that 66-0 mess. Of course, that's part of it. Daddy Dew Crew...Would 20-25% have been less offensive then 30-40%?  Chill out dude...I was only making a point.  It's no secret you don't like Hartwick...that is fine...but aren't you being a bit sensitive on this one?  Is it that time of the month again?

And who cares about the 66-0 loss in 2001?  That was 8 years ago.  Hartwick isn't that old of a program either...but you don't hear me using a loss when players on the current roster were 9-10 years old as a reason that we should get props for keeping a game close in 2009.

We shall see Bombers when your Bombers face the Pride. Wick losing to what seems to be a very decent triple option running Springfield isn't really that bad of a loss in dlip's mind. The Pride has been in his top ten ERP for most of 09. Wick has not gotton respect in the past three years because they had Lord Boltus taking the snaps but the D was less dense than ****in chicken cloth. Either way Wick has seemed to bounce back better in 09 than dlip thought they would post-Boltus and have proved that they aren't a "horrible" team but one that opponents must take somewhat seriously on a weekly basis. The Pride may just be for real with Josh Carter coming into his own running that offense. he is no Sharpe but his apptern of success here in his soph year is reminisant of Sharpes rise to prowess. To be honest, dlip has always liked Ithaca (especially here in 09 because of Grastorf) but the Bombers have probably been one of the most overrated teams in the nation here in 09 and as of lately been getting "Too much" respect for not such great results on the field.

My two cents...from what I hear in Oneonta Wick really thought they should have had IC, had a few opportunities slip through their hands against SC (7-7 at half time)...but that Alfred was the real deal and took it too them pretty good.
