I do agree with the Hartwick posters on this one. If you check the posts, Hartwick beating Ithaca was a fluke, and the loss to Curry meant they were the worst team ever. When Ithaca lost to Curry many took it as Curry making a name for themselves regionally. Do I think Utica is getting to much credit for playing close games? The answer is yes. Bombers798891 is more critical then any other Ithaca poster on this board IMO, but I do think he is looking into that post a little to much. None the less, lets see what Ithaca does when they play Springfield.

You are right about the Curry losses not being treated equally.

But the thing is, which name carries more weight in D-III? Ithaca or Hartwick? I mean, that does matter if we're talking perception. Is it fair? No. But that's how it is.

Also, I think the way Hartwick and Ithaca got there played into that. In 2007, Hartwick entered that game with a point differential of +37 (379-342). Ithaca entered the game with a point differential of +163 (379-216). That, plus the IC game being on the road, made that a bigger win
