Hey, look who comes east again. Nice job

30 yard FG by MSU is NO GOOD!

Hello Mount Union!

pg04

However, Can anyone honestly say after the horrendous performances of the eastern teams at one point or another that they don't deserve this?

Nope...

Not at all...

I can.  When you intermix between just four conferences all season long, SOMEBODY HAS TO LOSE THESE GAMES.  Go back and read my post in the ERPD PP.

No, they don't.  Someone can run the table.  It has happened before.  In each one of these teams losses, there have been GAPING holes in performance.  I really believe that the East is not on par with the other regions.

I wouldn't say someone "HAS" to lose the games...

If SJF, Montclair, Cortland, Rowan, DVC were better teams they would go undefeated...

Given the way they select the tournament no, no one can say that MUC should not be in the east. It goes back to the argument as to how they select the tournament. I still have an issue with bringing teams from other regions in when wins against out of region teams don't count for your resume overall.

You're right, if regional results weren't a criteria used for selection it wouldn't be an issue if they brought in UMU...

Frank, the reason MUC keeps getting shipped year is because none of these teams can get out of their own way in conference play...it's not the "intermixing". Sure, Cortland in 2008 and Montclair last season ran the table and lost to OOC teams, but what stopped IC in 2008? A conference game. What stopped Fisher in 2007? A conference game. What's stopping the NJAC this year? Conference games. When's the last time a LL team went undefeated in conference? 2005--the same year the E8 had their last unbeaten conference team.

Even when you consider the OOC games, there's no reason Alfred shouldn't be unbeaten right now. Rochester is a joke and RPI is a middle-of-the-pack team in a mediocre conference. It's not like the Red Dragons losing Cortaca in 2008 to a loaded Ithaca here.

Except, three of those teams play each other... Hmmm...

And? Any one of those teams are capable of going undefeated Frank. You act like it's this impossible challenge. It's not

Bombers, go to the ERPD PP and read my post from Thursday night.  It's much tougher to go undefeated in the East than in the other regions based on the current setup.  Let's move this discussion back to there and feel free to debate my points there.
