Union is just killing themselves. A fumble on their first play of the game led to a FG and put them down 10-0, and then, down 20-7, they fumble a punt they caught at the IC 34...Union is trying to put together a last minute drive...on their own 45 with 24 seconds to go

I gotta wonder. Down 20-7, Union sacked Hendel with 46 seconds to go in the half to set up 2nd and like 19. Then Union called a timeout, and Hendel threw a 36-yard TD pass with 37 seconds to go. Seemed like an odd timeout. Now, maybe IC would have called it anyway, but to that point, IC hadn't completed a pass longer than 10 yards, so I'd have to think Welch would be cautious with a 20-7 lead. I wonder though, if the timeout made him sat, "What the heck" and go for it. I just don't know what the upside to a TO in that situation. Barring a turnover, even if you get a stop, you've got maybe 30 seconds to go what, 60 yards to get into FG range?

I think IC found their quarterback - hendel is 12-15 for 106 and a TD in the first half with no turnovers.

Utica experiencing a letdown perhaps? Trailing Frostburg 16-14 at the break

EDIT. Now the Pioneers trail 23-14. Is Frostburg a sleeper in the E8?

Considering until you wrote this I had completely forgotten they were in the E8, I'd say maybe.

By the way Buffalo State is up 59-17 in the 3rd quarter...I wonder if they have some pent up frustration from losing to Cortland and Fisher that they are unleashing on some poor unsuspecting team.
