TD Fisher! 7-0

Good job taking advantage of the penalty for Fisher.

I agree. That's what good teams do, take advantage of second chances and good opportunities

Christopher Newport recovers a Salisbury fumble, drives down the field and punches it in...7-6 CNU

Rochester starts on their own 35. Random thought: I feel like this is sort of standard in D-III football. Kickoffs being returned to around the 35. Anyone done any math on this?

I haven't done the math, but I would be interested in how the returns in Division III against Division I, compare to what the average ability of a field goal kicker at each level is? In other words, does returning a ball to the 35 in DIII give a team, statistically, the same shot of at least getting a field goal as a DI return to the 20?

Salisbury drives right back down and scores to go up 13-7

That's interesting. Maybe it just evens out. What the kicker costs you on the front end by not getting the ball as deep, you make up for by the other team's kicker not being as good, so suddenly, FG range isn't so close

Fisher fumbles, U of R gets the ball deep in Fisher territory...I think. My LiveStats is reversing everything right now, but I think Rochester has 1st and 10 at the fisher 11

That has always been my thought. But, I think a really good field goal kicker is such a huge advantage in Division III, because if you have a real good one, you are that close to field goal range. It just shortens how much you have to move the ball.

Any idea of how the crowd is at the Courage Bowl? Last year was pretty average, hopefully the crowd is a little bigger.
