Wow, what a Homecoming thriller at Frostburg State as Bobcats score a 4th-and-4 TD and kick the extra point in the second OT to beat the Saxons, 54-53. More than 1000 yards of offense between the two teams today.

Saxons (4-3), reeling from second straight Empire 8 loss to those Maryland outsiders (who invited those illegal immigrants into the Empire, anyway?  :D), travel to Rochester Saterday. Hoping AU can regroup and put together a solid effort to get back into winning form.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Fisher defense was outstanding today. They allowed only 9 first downs, 178 totals yard and just 132 yards rushing.

Fisher scored a huge win today beating the Pride 33-6. I thought the Fisher offense moved the ball much better today than the first several games, and the SC defense is not terrible. Big win for the Cardinals.

Go Fisher!!!!!

The Fisher D has been great this year with one exception. The games Fisher has won the defense has given up 10, 3, 3, 10, 7, and 6watch points. Very impressve stuff.
GO FISHER!!!

The Offense is playing with much more confidence and the play calling has definately improved.  I don't think they threw any WR screens today, Kramer was looking down the field much more than in the past.  The deeper pass routes created running lanes for Miller and Kramer.  Great balance today.

Very True. I have noticed that since Borum has gone down, Fisher has used more designed runs for Kramer, and Miller has looked great. Starting to get excited.
GO FISHER!!!

Glad to know that the Saxons' visit to Alliance last December was of benefit to Zoey! +K for the shout out...

UofR's backup QB orchestrates a scoring drive to bring the Yellowjackets within two scores, 24-14 Alfred with less than 2 minutes left in the third.

3-0 Bombers in the third.  Once again, as has been the story all year, the inability to score in the red zone has killed the Bombers.  3 drives in the red zone = 3 points.  IC has dominated the game.

FG Rochester with 2 minutes left in the game.  24-17, Alfred.  Onside kick coming.

Rochester recovers.  Yellowjackets down to the 11 with 17 seconds left.  UofR had 3 chances from the 2, but couldn't convert.  Final from Fauver 24-17, Saxons.

wow...exciting win I guess, but their offense is pedestrian at best.  Frostburg gives up pts like Salisbury scores 'em...

Yea...I mean just from a psych standpoint....Salisbury is going to be tough....while a loss might deflate a previously undefeated team, this Salisbury team can take some pride in their hard fought game against one of the best in the country on the road, then come home and realize that they are still undefeated where it matters most (E8), and gear up for a home 'play-off' game.
