Ithaca physically dominates Alfred 17-6.

I know that sounds strange, but you had to be there. Ithaca, missing quarterback Phil Neumann, who was out with an injury, flat out punishes Alfred's defensive line. Rakim Jones runs 31 times for 170 yards, and Samuto adds 11 carries for 50 yards. Tom Dempsy goes an efficient 14-for-20 for 166 yards. Ithaca has the ball for over 38 minutes.

I was umimpressed with Alfred's offense. Johnson didn't do much of anything downfield, and Alfred's running backs had 20 yards on three carries. Johnson threw for 292 yards, but the biggest plays were runs after the catch. He completed less than 50 percent of his passes, and turned it over three times. Yes, both picks were the kinds of throws you have to make when you're down 11 points with less than five minutes to go, and your kickers are a non-entity. He had a pick 6 that was dropped and his fumble was a killer.

Ithaca's coaching staff, deserves an A+. Great game plan

What he said.

Was a nice day for a ride to Ithaca. Ithaca's offensive and defensive lines dominated all day, much like Alfred's lines did at Merrill Field last year. Johnson was AU's leading rusher with 59 yards on 9 carries. AU could not run the ball. IC RB Rakim Jones had a tremendous game...falling forward for 2 or more 3 yards after initial hits. It was IC's Homecoming and AU's Mid-Semester Break.

Was very cool to see IC grads, on their wedding day, have wedding photos taken on ButterField prior to the game. Nice also to see members of the Bombers' 1988 National Championship team out on the field at halftime. Bombers played like champions today.

Congrats Ithaca on a well-played game...good luck the rest of the way!

On Saxon Warriors!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Fisher D with 11 sacks for the day...

Held Wick's offense to 98 total yards before they pulled the starting defense out...

Yeah...the Fisher D was tough today.  I thought we did a good job keeping it within a TD at half, but once you guys got the pick 6, you could feel the air go out.  We'll done today Fisher...and because we absolutely need a team or two to run the table in the East, I'm definitely pulling for you guys.

Yeah I was impressed by the Wick D, much better unit than what they've put out in previous years. They look like they got bigger across the line and aren't a bunch of 5'11" 200lb guys running around with their heads cut off. The D-line by Wick made it hard for Fisher to run the ball and made some real nice penetration throughout the game.

Does anyone have the link to the video feed of Fisher/Salisbury? I can't find it on the E8tv page.
GO FISHER!!!

Neither can I.  Looks like it won't be shown today.  I can't even get the online radio to play either...pretty awesome.

Looks like the video isn't available again; not sure why but the same thing happened with the SU v Buffalo State game last week.

I actually got the ESPN Rochester link to work on my desktop, so I'm good now.  But thanks!

Not a good start for Fisher. They have had two 3 and outs, and have just given up a touchdown. SU up 7-0.
GO FISHER!!!

Uh yeah - nearly missed the XP again.  If this game does turn out to be close I truly hope a missed XP doesn't factor into the equation.

MrCardinal

Another forced turnover for the fisher D!  Lets drive down and take a lead!
