So where is the Wesley/ithaca game next week?

Fumbled punt by Alfred gives Cortland great field position.  They convert on 4th and 10 and then run the next play in for the touchdown.  21-14, Alfred.

I would think Ithaca would be the higher seed since they hosted the first game, right?

What a great win for Fisher. Can't wait for Hobart next week...who's coming with me?

Congratulations to Fisher. New York football has a great first round! Can't wait to see a classic at "the BOZ" next Saturday.

Yea, the announcers said they were the "3rd" seed, so I assumed Wittenberg was the 4th seed for travel purposes?

With Mount being the 1st seed it would make sense that Witt is the 4th seed following traditional bracket logic.  But that does seem odd to put a two loss team in as the 3 seed over an evidently strong Witt team.

.

Yea I figured it was for travel purposes only to have Wittenberg ranked lower than Ithaca.

Alfred loses about 40 yards in field position on 2 personal fouls and a fumble, then the punter picks the snap off the ground and gets off a punt that rolls all the way to Cortland's 25.  Still 21-14, Saxons with 6 minutes left.

Just over 2 minutes left and as Tyler Johnson is getting pulled down, it looked like he tried to lateral the ball but fumbled it instead.  Somehow Alfred recovered.  Cortland using their timeouts, so they'll have one last chance to tie it up.

I may have to hustle back from South Carolina for the Fisher game.  Watched your second half against JCU and Fisher looked very tough.  JCU drive for the field goal consisted of a roughing the punter penalty and a pass interference.  Another drive also consisted of a pass interference call.  JCU did nothing in the second half, SJF played harder and had more balance.  Good special teams too.  Hats off to the Cardinals who were more weather proof.  See you in the Lake Trout Capital of the World!

Interception ices the icy game and the Mug stays in Alfred!  Hopefully the town isn't destroyed when I get back from Florida...

Congrats to Ithaca as well for doing what it needed to to beat a good Framingham State team!

Pep drove back from D.C. last evening and did NOT see any snowflakes until his arrival in Mayberry, where there's still snow on the ground.

Alfland Mug appears to lack the interest of the Cortaca Jug, with attendance listed as 101. (The football players outnumbered those in attendance?) And Pep did not hear of any riots in the streets in Cortland.

Congrats to the Saxons on a solid 8-3 entertaining season. 'Tis good to be a Saxon fan!

On Saxon Warriors!
