Alfred puts together a long drive following the touchdown, starting on their own 15 and getting to the Ithaca 5. They also got an extra chance thanks to a pass interference on what was 2nd and goal, but Alfred then throws 4 incompletions in a row to lead to another turnover on downs.

Ithaca 17 Alfred 6, 5:30 remaining

And Ithaca's special teams comes up with a big play, forcing a turnover on an Alfred punt return.  3:22 to go, Ithaca 17 Alfred 6.

Is the AU D keeping IC in check or is IC struggling with execution?

Ithaca goes 3 and punt after the fumble recovery, Alfred has to go all out and gives up an interception.  The Bombers kneel out from there and gets the win.

FINAL:
Ithaca Bombers 17
Alfred Saxons 6

In the first half, the Alfred defense certainly kept Ithaca in check.  They were able to hold them down well and Ithaca could not make it count on 4th down twice.

In the second half, Ithaca was far more in control of the situation.  They seemed to be able to do largely what they wanted minus a couple of small things.  Alfred in the second half had a lot of little mistakes add up.

Okay, how about this Ithaca defense? On the road, on turf, against a mobile QB whose team is averaging 32 points a game, and they hold them to six? That's a statement.

I have to say, Ithaca has really impressed me this season.

Fisher shanks a punt and gives up a long TD pass just before the half. They drive back down, and get a TD, when Ngolian saves a drive with a one-handed catch on third down. They trail 17-14 at the break.

I think this helps them turn it around. Fisher's WRs are really, really, good, and I just don't see Fenti being stopped

Utica scores first in Ithaca with a 39 yard field goal by Woodburn.  Utica 3 Ithaca 0, 9:41 left in the 1st Quarter.
