Good recovery in the 4th quarter for the Saxons.

Cortland/Fisher resuming ........."a great ballgame this isn't" .......

Cortland RB stuffed in the backed by a blitzing Backer, only to have the RB brush him off like an ant to gain 12 more yards . . Yep Upstate, that's using their aggressiveness against them

It's called no heart, poor technique - and yes, time for fresh blood and find some professional coaches - stick a fork in SJF.

Congrats to the Bombers on the win. Worst first half in last 20years from Hobart(mostly self inflicted) , but needing to use second string QB was not the only problem for Hobart as the run game did not show up today ......which is a credit to Ithaca defense. Good luck the rest of the season and  hopefully IF the Statesmen can clean their act up, we will see you back at Butterfield in November.

Fisher really can not tackle

Yeah, that was a pretty unfortunate series of misses on that Cortland touchdown.

Cortland tacks on a field goal, up 34-17 with 3:03 to go.  UPDATE- And that is the final score.

Well, the Bombers commit an interception on their first possession of the game, and then on another possession Alfred opted to go for it on 4th and 21 on the IC 30 but the pass went nowhere.  Defense is the name of the game as has usually been the case in Bombers games so far this season.

Ithaca 0 Alfred 0, 7:30 left First quarter.

Ithaca commits the 2nd turnover of the game, this time another interception as Schafer overthrows his receiver and its an easily pick up.  Alfred now on the IC 40... and on the first play off scrimmage, completes a 24 yard pass on the right to get to the IC 16.  Alfred runs one more time and we hit the end of the quarter.

End of the First- Ithaca 0 Alfred 0.

EDIT UPDATE- Alfred gets to the Ithaca 5, but is then held up on 2 runs and throws an incompletion.  Alfred kicks for the field goal and takes the lead.

12:36 to go 2nd Q- Ithaca 0 Alfred 3.

ADDITIONAL UPDATE- And on the kickoff following, Jordan Schemm makes a big run through the kickoff team.  He runs out of gas but not before taking Ithaca to the Alfred 11 on the return.

3rd play off the kickoff return, Kyle Hastings gets wide open in the back of the end zone and catches the short pass for the touchdown.

11:10 left in the 2nd- Ithaca 7 Alfred 3.

Is it me, or does Ithaca do much better running the ball out of one back inside zone sets than when they have a fullback in there?
