Nice win for the Cards on the road.  Cards developing depth and other scoring options.  Dietz will be a player in this league.  What's the prognosis on the G-S ankle?

Anyone aware of Utica Techies' sleds arriving from Paul Smith's yet? About 24 hrs. and counting! Or ......did Techies' sleighs even attempt to reach no. country for Thursday's contest/mismatch?

Sled arrived.  Result not terribly impressive, but a W is a W.

You will recall Paul Smiths trailed Wilkes 45-1 in the first half of the consy at the North Country Invitational at Clarkson.  Credit the Plattsburgh Press-Republican for the following.

PAUL SMITHS -- Paul Smith's College made a late run at SUNYIT Tuesday before the Wildcats, the early surprise of SUNYAC basketball, pulled away to an 84-66 victory in men's basketball.

The Bobcats (5-9) drew to within 7 with 6½ minutes to play, but SUNYIT nailed two baskets and forced Paul Smith's to turn the ball over.

"I was pleased with our effort; we had a shot at it," Paul Smith's Coach Mark Cartmill said.

"We played very well; I was pleased that we were in the game until the last 2 or 3 minutes."

SUNYIT (4-2) already has knocked off Geneseo and Buffalo State in SUNYAC play.

Junior guard Chris Reaves scored 26 points to lead the Wildcats with J.P. Adams tossing in 19.

Jimmy Noel had 6 rebounds and Thompson, 6 assists, for the Bobcats, who will close out the semester at home with SUNY Canton at 1 p.m. Saturday.
