In no particular order ......

Oswego's only two seniors good starting point for Lakers -- capts T. Downing, last season's top scorer (15.9) and a 3pt sharpie (76x189), and returning 5-10 regular K. Reuter (14.1, 98x111ft). OSt has six fr including lean 6-6 and 6-8 duo. Pair of JC 6-2 frontcourt transfers in L. Schrader and  S. Francois. Of course, ignition switch and All-SUNYAC  N. Perioli departed 21-8 unit, along with M. Jabbi.. Opens 11/15 vs. Canton

Potsdam certainly believes it's better than 11-15 finish of a few months back. Six sr headed by SUNYAC HMs 6-2 g D. Brown (15.2pt, 4.3reb, top asst)  and 6-3 g A. Dike (12.5, 7.3). Add 6-8 B. Siskavich (8.7),  g B. Graney (7.9), g S. Clement. More size in 6-11 soph G. Lothridge (ESyr-Minoa) and 6-10 T. Kelso (Ogdensburg), the latter one of five fr. Bears. Tip 11/15 vs. Hobart and drill tonight vs. Algonquin College

Plattsburgh boasting eight lettermen, a bit deceiving since 6-6 200 soph E. Daniyan (6.5pt) is only returning starter (1gm) among that group. Of course, the missing include All-Everything A. Williams, T. Gorham, K. Hunt & Co. responsible for banner 27-3 express. Joining Daniyan as key returning cog is 6-4 C. Ruiz (6.7pt). Also have six others with game experience, among them 6-9 260 R.J. Ponesse and 6-4 200 sr L. Darrell. Cards in 11/15 launch in own tourney, perhaps Paul Smith's 1st rounder? Mourning summer death of ex-coach Larry Cowan at 49

Brockport also has some big shoes to fill, though absence of All-Conference Sherod Harris (now ass't coach) easier to take with incoming seven sr and six jr vet-laden cast. Punch packing crew includes 5-11 All-Conf sr g B. Williams (14.5pt), 6-2 g J. Clarke, 5-11 HM All-Conf g M. Wilkes (11.7), 6-6 jr C. Parrish (8.8,5.2), jr g J. Johnson (5.5), 6-8 sr B. Brooks, 6-5 230 sr E. Kays. Single roster fr is 6-0 175 g G. Williams of Roch. (B. Will relation?). Eagles 21-8 last season. Open 11/22 vs. Wentworth in Hopkins tourney

Geneseo focus centers around sr All-SUNYACs 6-6 200 g S. Morton (15 pts shy of 1,000) and 6-8 230 J. Howe (14.3, 6.5). Morton was 1st team, Howe 2nd. Helping Knights fans ease losses of vitals T. Kitson and J. Kling from 19-8 season are returnees B. Simpson (6.5), 6-7 R. Hasenauer, 6-6 jr K. Stevens (5), 5-11 soph M. Baker.  Get going 11/15 vs. Elmira

Fredonia features 6-0 jr g B. Cooper, Devils No. 1 scorer (14.4) during 9-17 campaign. Freds have two sr, foremost 5-10 W. Davis (7). Other vets number 6-1 jr K. Saunders (6), 6-6 K. Mitchell, 6-4 soph J. Bryant (6, 4), 6-5 G. MacBride. Eight fr  looking for court time. Underway 11/15 vs. Allegheny in R-Newark tourney

Buffalo St. showcased lineup Saturday night in exhibition win over Waterloo, Ont. Usual characters dominated, primarily 6-3 sr g J. Gray, last season's pt leader (15.7), 6-7 jr A. Samedi (9, 6), and sr g J. Tyndal. Gray, Tyndal and 6-2 g A.J. White (6pt) form  Bengals sr contingent. Another vet is 6-7 soph A. Speed. Roster includes seven fr and soph. BS, 8-15 last season, opens 11/21 vs. Thomas More in tourney with R-Newark and J. Carroll

Cortland has wealth of talent from 21-8 season  including top six scorers headed by All-Conf 2nd team 6-6 jr M. Lewis (12.7, 7.1), 6-6 250 jr P. Oliver (10.7, 6.8), 6-4 205 sr C. Niehoff (11.1, 4.3), 6-2 jr g W. Coston (10.6), 6-0 soph g R. Evans (7.5) and 5-11 sr g J. Miolan. Good 3pt strikers in Niehoff (41x98), Evans, Miolan, Coston. RDragons received most SUNYAC points in preseason D3hoops poll that also saw Pburgh, Bport and Geneseo mentioned. CSt opens 11/15 vs. Ithaca (Cortaca Jug same day matinee)

Oneonta senior complement of 6-7 R. Morin (6.1, 2.5), 6-3 g R. Fitzgerald (4.8, 3.3) and 6-3 g M. Lane (4.8) brings leadership, and among eight lettermen Formidable among them  6-4 jr f  M. Grimes (9.9, 6.5). Another vet from 12-14 team is soph S. Gillette (4.3, 2.4) while inside game fortified with transfers B. Beckford, 6-5 f from Brooklyn, and 6-8 jr K. Skinner from Binghamton. OSt debuts 11/15 vs. Cobleskill – in first phase climb to D3 status and SUNYAC tie?

New Paltz has formidable upper class tandem in 6-2 sr g M. Hauser (10.1pt, 41x125 3s) and 6-6 jr f L. Bertram (12.4, 7.1). Also returning is 6-5 jr f A. Bevilacqua. Youth should be served, what with seven fr. Their ranks number 6-4 g C. Hauser and a 6-7 frontliner. Hawks, 6-19 a season ago, take 12 game skid into 11/15 start vs. Drew

Morrisville in fourth and final phase to D3 accreditation. Was 5-19 last season. Among key holdovers 6-4 sr f J. McCants (7, 6) and 6-3 jr f G. Vaughn. Others appear to be 6-6 soph A. Simon, 5-9 jr A. VanDyke, soph g J. Rivers, 6-4 jr McDonald, 6-4 jr f B. Eddy. Gone is stat leader D. Spencer (17, 7). Mustangs bring in five fr including trio from Syracuse city system and 6-5 c from Commack.

Jdex--Thanks for the update--down in FL this season but will be rooting hard for my beloved Golden Eagles--Life after B-dubs and Lightnin Rod will be different--Alot of faces are needed to step up and be counted for them to match or improve on the past two seasons--Many veterans on this club, but needed to fill different roles--Good Luck Eagles!!!

UCgrad45

I missed the game, but heard that Utica did quite well against Potsdam. The account I heard was that it was a close score in the first half, and Utica blew them out in the second half. The person I talked to didn't stay for the 3rd short stanza that they play in these games.

FutureD3playa

i got a question.....where can i watch all the games this year....do most of the teams show it on there website..live stream?

bball12

New Paltz played against two division II teams.  they beat concordia(NY) by 5 and lost to Mercy College by 10.  They are young but they are a talented bunch of players.  I also heard that morrisville is leaving the league after this year.

Ralph Turner

No confirmation of Morrisville on either the Morrisville or NEAC sites...  ???

Let's keep an eye out for that development!

jdex,

As usual, you're right on the money with your information. Plus k. Cortland looks like the team to beat this year.
