#1955
Oneonta travels to Utica and comes away with a 77-71 win. Red Dragons improve to 8-3. UC drops to 3-4.

Oneonta next at undefeated NYU on Tuesday. With Brockport knocking Desales from the unbeaten ranks today, can Oneonta do the same at NYU? Oneonta dropped  a 2 pt OT decison to unbeaten Ithaca earlier and NYU won a hard fought decision over New Paltz 73-68 eariler this week. The SUNYAC might strike again. NYU could get some votes in the next Top 25 poll so this could be an interesting regional matchup.

Utica also gets to take on an unbeaten opponent on Tuesday as they travel to Ithaca. Bombers should win by 9.

UC 25x63fg, 18x23ft in falling to 3-3 while OSt. stock rises to 8-3 with a Tuesday date vs. NYU and plenty of road dates (like 9 of next 11 games)

Congrats to my beloved Eagles--Hopefully this is the start of their resurgence to the SUNYAC elite!!!They needed a big win at DeSales and this should push them in the right direction for a strong second semester. Did not see C. Parrish in the lineup either night. Doesn't look like it effected them. Good luck and keep it going. Magic keep me informed--The golfing is taking away from my b-ball time!!

Yeah, Scooterman, ain't it tough! Got in 18 today at Legacy near Bradenton. Conditions somewhat better than CNY; actually a lot better. Sorry 'bout that

Go ahead rub it in about the golfing. I even gave you a karma point to get you out of the negative ranks. And I'm not sure about the golfing taking away from your b-ball time, I think it might be the poor start your Eagles got off to this year kind of dimmed your enthusiasm.  That and no big Plattsburgh-Brockport battle for SUNYAC supremacy to keep you focused. ;D

Some tough non-conference matchups tonight for the SUNYAC teams.

Middlebury at Plattsburgh St. 8PM  Middlebury looking to avenge last years loss to the Cardinals when Cards came back from 20+ point deficit in 2nd half to beat the Panthers in Middlebury. This year both teams have beat Norwich and Johnson St. and lost to St. Lawrence. Middlebury handed #13 Richard Stockton their only loss. Cardinals, a young team, has had trouble come crunch time. Foul shooting woes and turnovers continue to plague them.  Think the Panthers win this one 73-65.

Oneonta at #32 NYU 7PM  Oneonta takes on their 2nd undefeated team and hopes the outcome is different than the last time. Had Ithaca on the ropes and missed that huge foul shot that would have tumbled the Bombers from the unbeaten ranks. Will they fare any better this time out? I hope they do, but on the road I think they lose a tight one 69-65

Clarkson at Cortland St. 6PM  Clarkson is a scrappy team that doesn't give up and hustles all over the court. But tough loss to Uof R last night and traveling down to Cortland today may be to much to overcome. Red Dragons off to a disappointing start at 4-4 but I think they get the job done 67-61.

Keene St. at New Paltz St. 7PM  Hard game to predict but Keene has played some good teams and is averaging 86 pts a game. Fared better against Williams than the Hawks did. Edge to the Owls 81-74

Hobart at Buffalo St. 8PM  Both teams struggling with Buff St. finally breaking into the win column last weekend. Bengals have lost 4 games by a total of 10 pts, including 1 pt loss at Oneonta. Hobart hung with Fisher and Potsdam St. losing to each by 2. Bengals win #2 71-68.

St. Lawrence at Oswego St. 8PM St Lawrence is averaging 86 pts a game and  Oswego is rolling up 92 ppg. However the Lakers have been pounding the Cantons and Morrisvilles while losing to Geneseo and Naz. The Saints own wins over Middlebury, Potsdam and Plattsburgh. 2 of their 3 losses have come against ranked teams and as "the bear" said "don't see a huge gap between SLU and Ithaca". The Saints take this one 92-84.

Hope I'm right on the SUNYAC teams I picked to win. Hope I'm wrong on the ones I didn't.
Audio links available for the Oneonta-NYU and New Paltz-Keene St. games off the D3 Hoops scoreboard page. Wish they had one for Oswego-SLU as well.
