Tyndal lands trey and then two ft in closing seconds for 62-62 knot. RDragons J. Miolen and C. Niehoff provide quick OT edge. Niehoff 16 pts; R. Evans 16 pts; Oliver 13 pts, 10 rebs; S. Manning 6 assts. BS gets 20 pts, 5 rebs from AJ White; Tyndal 19 pts; J. Gray 10 pts; A. Speed 13 rebs

with age came?

Potsdam baffles me.  Is Siskavich still nursing his injury because 0 for 3, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 turnovers in 20 minutes is not his ordinary stat line?  Anyone know what's up re: this tailspin?

Plattsburgh is focusing on ice hockey!

Its always been a hockey town Ralph. But what do you expect when "Miracle on Ice" Lake Placid is 45 mins. away in one direction and the Montreal Canadians are 45 mins. away in another direction.  Field house is usually filled to capacity. Both men's and women's teams have been top ranked all year. Men have been #1 for 6 straight weeks. Women were #1 but just fell to #2 yesterday. However, I'd trade both those rankings to have the Cardinals' Hoops team in D3 Hoops Top 10. Men's BB is down this year(tough when you lose all 5 starters from a sweet 16 team) but we're young and we'll be back.

I notice McMurry is having a pretty good year so far. They played the other division of the ASC tough. Looking like a 20+ win season. Why no nickname?

Patrick Stewart (Plattsburgh SID) was SID at McMurry.  Great guy and one of the best hockey players ever to have lived in Abilene!  ;)

#2009
Braved the 13 below zero temps to catch the Plattsburgh-Oneonta game tonight. Cardinals grabbed the lead midway thru the 1st half and were never headed. Up by12 at the 3:30 mark they went into the break with a 34-22 lead. Oneonta cut into that margin and several times got within 5 but the Cards went back up by 10 with 8:35 to go at 53-43. Red Dragons came back and cut it to 3 on a 4 point play by Maurice Lane at 7:06 53-50. Chris Ruiz held to only 6 pts suddenly exploded and scored 10 unanswered pts. to stretch the lead for Plattsburgh to 63-50. Ruiz in slightly over 2 minutes hit a 3, scored on a layup after a turnover, hit a 10 foot fallaway jumper, and nailed another 3. He also hit Plattsburgh's next 2 buckets to account for 16 consecutive points for his team sandwiched around several Red Dragon baskets. Coach Tom Curle said this was a must win for his team and the players didn't let him down.

Cardinals placed 4 men in double figures led by Ruiz with 22, Errol Daniyan with 17, R.J. Ponesse with 11, and Brad Mader with 10. Oneonta was paced by Michael Grimes with 17 and Lane with 14.

Oneonta St. falls to 9-5 overall and 4-1 in the conference. Plattsburgh ends its' 7 game losing streak and improves to 4-10 overall, 2-4 in SUNYAC play. Next up for the Red Dragons tomorrow afternoon is Potsdam St. while the Cardinals look for the weekend sweep of the SUNYAC leaders as they take on 2nd place New Paltz.
