Oswego gets little resistence from Cortland, which hangs around but little more than a toy against tougher Lakers who go 28x56 from the field and rule the boards 40-28. C. Burridge 17 pts(8x14fg), 10 rebs in 26'. Sits some with pf trouble. C. Gilkes 16 pts(7x8fg) in 16'. Dragons topped by J. Smith 17 pts(6x18fg) in 37'

New Paltz beats Fredonia 48-43. Another ugly ugly game.

4-1 with my picks tonight in the SUNYAC. 4-0 with my picks over in the Liberty League. Gives me an 8-1 record for the night. I'd trade it for a 1 and 8 record if the 1 could be my Cardinals. Loss tonight not only gives the Golden Eagles bragging rights for the year but will prevent the Cardinals from catching the Lakers for the regular season title. Even if Plattsburgh should win out (far from a sure thing) and the Lakers suffered 2 more losses, the tiebreaker has now been tipped in Oswego's favor. Looks like the SUNYAC tournament will be held in Oswego this year.

New Paltz trails Freds by one early in final period. Knotted at 10:40 and Hawks by mere two points at 1:04. Contest scoreless till NP S. Taylor hits ft pair at 0:08 and another pair moments later. Hawks 15x44fg, 16x25ft. Freds 17x43fg, 5x13ft. Taylor 13 pts, 6 rebs, 4 stls. Freds A. Smith 12 pts

Gerald Williams has his best day ever as Brockport defeats the Cardinals 93-77. Williams scored 30 points on 9x12 shooting from the field. He was 5 of 6 from long distance and hit 7 of 10 from the charity stripe. Kyheem Green and John Ivy both tossed in 16 points, Derek Klein had 11 and Zack McTigue added 10, as all 5 starters hit double digits.

Plattsburgh was led by Chris Ruiz who tallied 29 points (9x17 fg, 1x5 3's, 10x11ft). Steve Thomas had 13, Carl Munnerlyn had 11 and Ketema Brooks chipped in with 10.

Brockport broke open a close game early in the 2nd half and with a little over 4 minutes gone in the period opened up a double digit lead of 53-42. Four minutes later at 11:31, the lead had reached 20. The closest the Cards would get from that point on was 12 as the Eagles coasted home to the 16 point win.

Brockport pulls to with 1 game of the 2nd place Cards as they move to 8-4 in the conference. They take on visiting Potsdam tomorrow, while the 9-3 Cardinals travel to Geneseo.

Four games on tap for this afternoon all with  4 PM start times.

New Paltz State  @    Buffalo State
Buffalo State gets to replay the one that got away. Don't think New Paltz falls behind by 21, but don't think Bengals will lose either. Buffalo State 88-81

Potsdam State  @    Brockport State
Brockport looking for some payback against the Bears. They'll get it with an 84-68 victory

Oneonta State   @   Fredonia State
Red Dragons trying to avoid weekend sweep. Blue Devils trying to avoid weekend sweep. Oneonta does, Fredonia don't. Red Dragons win but it's ugly 56-51

Plattsburgh State  @    Geneseo State
Cardinals looking to rebound from Brockport fiasco. Geneseo looking for revenge. Plattsburgh takes this one 78-68.
