Brockport by 12 .....about 7:45 left. Up by 17 recently ......yes, audio feed off SUNY board scoreboard  ....live audio ......

Thank you, I could pull up the same page from Brockport's website but there was no spot to connect to the audio feed. The minute I pulled it up from the SUNY website the audio was loud and clear.

Fredonia and Geneseo going right down to the wire. Freds up 64-63 with 1:27 to go. Geneseo's ball coming off a time out. Goaltending called on a Ryan Riefenhauser lay up and Knights go in front 65-64 with 1;17 to go. Freds come down and score inside by Kevin Mitchell to reclaim the lead with 55 seconds left. Timeout by Fredonia. Geneseo works the ball for 24 seconds, and then calls a timeout.
Blue Knights then turn the ball over on a pass into the post and immediately foul Fredonia's Damien Goodwin. Goodwin makes 1 of 2 to make it a 67-65 lead. Knights bring the ball down to the frontcourt and call timeout with 15 seconds left. They get the ball inside to Connor Fedge who is fouled with 8 seconds left. He goes to the line and makes the 1st one and Fredonia tries to ice him by calling time out. It doesn't work and he makes the 2nd to tie it at 67. Fredonia inbounds the ball but loses it in a scramble and a jump ball is called. Fredonia retains possession and inbounds the ball, goes the length of the floor shoots, misses, and gets the rebound and Kevin Mitchell is fouled with .2 tenths left on the clock. He makes the first and and misses the second, game over. Fredonia wins 68-67.

Dalton Kashmer leads the Blue Devils with 16 points (6x14 fg 0x3 3's, 4x4 ft). Damien Goodwin has 14 (5x6 fg, 2x3 3's, 2x3 ft) while Julius Bryant and Kevin Mitchell both had 10. Fredonia shot 52.1% from the field  (25x48), 33.3% , 3's (5x15) and 81.3% from the line 13x16). Fredonia had 26 rebounds to 23 for Geneseo. Both teams had 15 turnovers.

Geneseo was led by Matt Curry, who was the game's high scorer with 26 points (10x15 fg, 6x8 3's, 0x1 ft). Jordan Jones (5x11 fg, 1x4 3's, 1x1 ft) and Ryan Riefenhauser  (6x8 fg) both had 12 points. Gordon Lyons was a perfect 4x4 from the field and 2x2 from the stripe to net 10 points. Riefenhauser was the leading rebounder in the game with 8 boards . Blue Knights shot 54% from the field (27x50),  44.4% from downtown (8x18) and 71.4% from the line (5x7)

This game was as close as it gets. Tough way to lose on a foul called basically at the buzzer. I had this game forecast as a 70 -66 Fredonia win. It was only 1 point off my posted total.

Fredonia gets a much needed  conference win and improves their record to 7-5 overall and 2-4 in the YAC. They travel to Brockport tomorrow afternoon to take on the resurgent Golden Eagles at 4 PM.

Geneseo falls to 4-8 overall and 2-3 in the conference. They host Buffalo State tomorrow afternoon at 4 PM.

Brockport puts a hurtin on Buffalo State 95-69.

"Truer words were never spoken." :'(

Brockport definitly put it to us in the 2nd half last night. No excuses.....just got beat. I would have loved to have an injured Justin Mitchell -  BENGALS leading rebounder/shot blocker and 2nd leading scorer (14 pts & 7.4 boards per game) on the court last night but alas... the Dr. knows best!

Gotta cheer up quick!!  I guess things could be worse than 11-2 (D3 record) and being 4-2 (in the "Yac). Gotta get that win at Geneseo today (not talking trash..just hoping for a win today) or I'm not gonna be able to enjoy watching the Giants upset the Packers tomorrow! ;) -Trash talk!!! :)

All ten teams in action today with 5 games starting at 4 PM:

Buffalo State at Geneseo State

I knew the Bengals were in trouble last night when I learned Justin Mitchell was out with an injury. Tough to lose your leading rebounder and 2nd leading scorer and not feel the pain. Now Buff St heads over to Geneseo with a much needed win to avoid losing contact with Oswego. The Lakers have opened up a 2 game lead in the standings over the Bengals, who will now need some help if they have any hope of capturing the top seed for the playoffs. Someone on the Bengals bench will have to step up today to replace Mitchell who will be in street clothes for the 2nd straight game. That didn't happen last night from the starters or the reserves. Jake Simmons can only do so much and Buffalo State will need to get some rebounding help to offset the loss of Mitchell. Geneseo will be looking to rebound from a disappointing loss in a game that looked to be headed for overtime. Tough call at the buzzer cost them that chance. Usually the zebras won't blow the whistle on a play with less than a second left and will let the extra session sort it out. I was watching on a video feed and it was hard to tell if the Fredonia player got hacked or not on the rebound putback that drew the foul. I'm sure the Geneseo bench didn't like the call. You can bet the Blue Knights will be looking to prevent a homecourt sweep this weekend. Oddsmakers have made the Bengals a 9 point favorite. Without Mitchell I think that's too many. Buffalo State will gut this one out but it will be a close game. I like the Bengals to win it 74-69.

Fredonia State at Brockport State

Brockport is on the move and after a slow start finally seems to be firing on all cylinders. All Conference forward Kyheem Green is back but still seeing limited minutes. Last night for the 2nd game since his return he only played 19 minutes. Of course with the Golden Eagles enjoying a double digit lead for most of the 2nd half his presence wasn't needed. Eagles have moved into a virtual tie for the fourth spot in the standings and with only two conference losses have their sights set on an upward climb. Fredonia is looking to move into playoff contention. A win today could see them jump as high as the 6th spot. Blue knights haven't won two in a row since late November. Posted line has Brockport favored by 2 points. I think the Golden Eagles are heating up just in time and Fredonia used up it's luck allotment last night. The line should be larger. Brockport takes this one 81-72.

New Paltz State at Cortland State

Cortland temporarily all alone in 2nd place with a half game lead on Buffalo State. Can these Red Dragons continue to perform like the first semester team or will the inconsistencies that have surfaced recently continue to plague them? Last night's game wasn't much of an indicator as the other Red Dragons continue to struggle. New Paltz was overwhelmed by the Lakers yesterday and they need this game to remain in the upper tier of the YAC. Hawks have struggled away from Hawk Center with only  1 road win all year. They lost at Plattsburgh by 14 points and Cortland hosted Plattsburgh and won by 9.  The line has Cortland favored by 7 points. I think this one could go down to the wire but New Paltz is only showing a 10 man roster and big man Daniel Olsen was absent from last night's game. I see the Hawks coming up a little short. Red Dragons win 75-71.

Oneonta at Oswego

Lakers continue to be the class of the conference. Last night's beatdown of the Hawks put them in the driver's seat and they once again look to be the top seed and host of the playoffs. They may not run the table but it's hard to see them losing more than 2 conference games. A healthy dose of Hawk was all the medicine Chad Burridge needed as he was back to normal last night with 27 points. Hayden Ward almost had a double double with 10 points and 9 boards and Chris Gilkes went 8x12 to score 17. Conor Monaghan with only 3 minutes doesn't sound good. Possibly injury? It won't matter if he's in or out as Oswego's offense will be too much for the Red Dragons
to handle. Oddsmakers have Oswego favored by 17 points. Don't think it will be any closer. Lakers win easily 86-65.

Potsdam at Plattsburgh

Anything can happen when these North Country rivals meet and today will probably be no different. Cards have yet to win 2 games in a row all year. The win at Oneonta on Tuesday evened their conference record and gave them a share of 4th place. A win today coupled with a New Paltz loss could leave them all alone in that position. Bears coming off a tough loss to New Paltz where they shot lights out for the first 30 minutes. It was the last 10 minutes, when it counted that hurt. Still their 87 points was the highest output of the year for a team that's struggled on the offensive end most of the season. A loss today could leave the Bears on the outside looking in regarding the playoffs. Plattsburgh's up and down season needs to find the right direction. Young and talented, the team has had a dozen games to learn what's expected from the coaching staff. The next 5 games will be their toughest stretch of the season and they need to enter that period with some confidence. The oddsmakers have Plattsburgh listed as a 7 point favorite. I think it might be a little closer. I'm going with Plattsburgh over the Bears 72-67.
