Best be careful - Buff State's coach is an imam.  No kidding!

At least they have decent uni's this year.  last year's were REALLY ugly so you coulda started there.

Jones will have a bunch of his Syracuse home boys, as will McNair (Ithaca)
They will be lookin to make a statement.

RE: all sunyac predictions by thebear.

I'd have to switch Ranieri and Taggart (or bump another of your first teamers to leave room for both R and T).  Scott's contributions have been huge, but Frank gets more minutes and is always in when the game is close.  Scott plays less and may or may not be in at the end, depending on situation.   And when he's in, he comes through big time.  There's no stat for leadership, but if there were, Frank, Simon, and Scott would all be at the top, and Frank just might be off the chart.

That said, none of these three would care as much about being all sunyac as they would about winning sunyac and more.  Basketball is a team sport, and Cortland's success is, if nothing else, a reflection of the fact that they get that.

i went 2-4 not bad considering the oher two games were decided by 3 compined points......sounded like a good day of basketball......friday's predictions...cortland and oswego move on

Nick bigmorton

This is the last I want to talk about Barton.  He may get POY and he is obviously a worthing candidate.  I just don't think you need to talk about how bad the refs were when a good player has an off-game....or that he was sneezing in the pre-game huddle.  Good players overcome all factors to prove how good they are.  When a guy is getting into foul trouble he needs to adjust.  The Cortland-Geneseo game- the refs were atrocious, and I was there first hand to see it...I am the last guy thats gonna pin a game on the refs.  I have no problem with Edane Barton winning POY I just don't need to be convinced that he should be a lottery pick this June.  Cstate 19 is crazy...he should know that Taggart isn't a focus on offense and hasn't been a team leader all year long.  This is a team that was 2nd in the SUNYAC last year.  Taggart didn't save a 2-14 team.  He is a great addition to an already great team, and he would fit nicely on 2nd-team All-SUNYAC

KING

Nick i have to agree with you about Taggart, he is a GOOD player on a very good team, nothing more or less.  the leadership on that team comes from Frank and Simon, it has been that way for years.  Eventhough i like the kid, Taggart is not an all SUNYAC player!  how do you put someone in the top 15 in the conference when down at the end of games he doesn't make the top 7 on his own roster.  Cstate19 have you seen them play?  90% of what Taggart does is on his own, nothing drawn up by Span.  All rebs. and put backs off the O glass, far from a focus on offense.  Also, Simon playing as a 6 man should not hurt his chances of a first team bid this year.  Span likes the energy and production he brings as a lift off of the bench when the starters get flat.  he is the best player on the best team in the conference and should be rewarded for it.  if the award was for MVP he would have it, but unlucky for Simon its not, its POY.  Good luck to my C-state boys this weekend though, i was up in the air about them all year waiting to fall off, but now i really think they will take it home.  Cortland 62 Oswego 59 in the title game

cstate19

yes kirch ive seen them play many times, the most recent you and Dan drunk as hell yelling at the refs (who deserved it).....by the way I think Dynasty is taking the All-School chip.....you dont have the firepower...enjoy your Y chip while playing with them......

the fact that Taggart gets all his points off rebounds makes him that much better.......those 6-10 points a game are ones the team would not have without him...the fact that the offense runs through simon and frank means they always get oppurtunities........yes for the last time i agree that si and frank are the unquestioned leaders of the team...like i said before how many MVP votes does teddy bruschi get??? leaders dont get individual awards and they dont care thats why they are leaders.....if the offense ran through taggart he would average 20 and 10......not a knock on SI and Frank.........just praise for Big Scott......
