Fredonia led Elmira 36-32 at the half and is now in front 47-42 with 12:21 left to play.

No Live stats or video on Oswego game or New Paltz game so no scores to report yet.

Buffalo St. ties it up with Medaille at 60-60 on 2 free throws by Jake Simmons with 11:40 left to play.

Fredonia gets a win over Elmira as they pull away in the final 6 minutes and win 75-60.

Blue Devils were up 56-52 with 6:33 to play and outscore Elmira 10-2 over the next 2 minutes to gain a 66-54 advantage. Soaring Eagles got no closer than 10 the rest of the way. Freds were led by Amir Billups and Tyrone Clark with 21 points each. Glad I was wrong on this one. No surprise as Elmira probably won't win too many road contests this year.

Final in Buffalo as the Bengals come from a 15 point 1st half deficit to defeat Medaille 98-84. I was pretty close with my 94-83 prediction. Jake Simmons with 24 and Rod Epps with 23 lead Buffalo State. Jammal Coleman from Medaille was the game's high scorer with 25 points. Seth Runge with 13 and Ant Hamer with 12 also in double figs for the Bengals.

Plattsburgh State leads St. Lawrence 40-32 at the half. Kalik Parker with 9 and Shamoy McIntosh with 7 lead the Cardinals. Ed Correa and Ezra Hodgson both with 6 points.  Kyle Miller leads the Saints with 8 pts.

Went to pull up the video link but St Lawrence like Hobart wants you to either buy a season pass or pay $8 to view the game. Then spend god knows how much time to set up the account, get a password, and possibly find out that it's a lousy video feed. No thanks. find it ironic that these private colleges with big time tuition fees have to charge a fee to watch their games, >:( while the SUNYAC schools, most of whom have video, give it to the general public for free. 8-)

Potsdam over Clarkson at the half 37-33. Now early in the 2nd period and the Knights have closed it to 41-40. Colin Peterson led the Bears with 8 points. Rob Duqette and Curtis Pierce with 6 pts each. Jerry Coleman and Felix Abongo with 9 each for Clarkson.

magicman

Cortland over Ithaca 37-27 at the half. Red Dragons have now opened up a 66-48 lead now with 8 minutes left in the game. Harrison Hefele with 19, Jesse Winter with 12 and Jeremy Smith with 11 lead Cortland. Andre Oztemel leads Ithaca with 20 points.

New Paltz 74 Vassar 58 final.

About what I expected in this game. I had it 79-68 Hawks. Not quite as many points but similar MOV. Matt Devine with 19 was the game's high scorer. Shareef Taylor with 12 and Andrew Joseph with 10 are other Hawks in double digits. Curtis Smith and Alex Snyder with 10 each for the Brewers.

Plattsburgh now up 67-55 on SLU with 8 minutes left to play.

Potsdam 54 Clarkson 51 with 8:49 left to play. Go Bears.

magicman

Plattsburgh now up 77-64 over SLU with 3 minutes to go. I predicted a 76-64 final, looks like their will be a few more points scored than my total.

Potsdam builds a 66-57 lead over Clarkson with 2:25 to play. Hope I'm wrong  on my guess in that game. Go Bears!!

Cortland up 80-67 over Ithaca with 1:44 left. Not nearly as close as I anticipated but still a Cortland win like I wanted.

Still no score on the Oswego game.

I do believe the YAC is going to go 7-0 in tonight's action. Doesn't get much better than this. ;D 8-)

Cortland 84 Ithaca 67 Final score.

Cortland up by 10 at the half stretches their lead to 18 on several ocassions. Bombers cut it to 9 on a 3 pointer by Sean Rossi with 2:27 left  but that would be as close as they got. They cut it to 9 one last time at 76-67 with 2:01 to go, but 4 different Cortland players went 2x2 from the line and the 8 straight free throws expanded the lead to the 17 point margin. 4 Red Dragons in double figs led by Harrison Hefele with 21. Jesse Winter with 18, Jeremy Smith with 15, and Brian Manning with 13 pts and a team leading 8 rebounds.

Bears with a nearly wire to wire win over the cross town Clarkson Knights.

Only Clarkson lead was at 18:59 of 1st Half 3-2, the Potsdam never trailed.

Could this be the year that the 'yac is the dominant conference in Upstate NY, with wins tonight over chalk in Empire 8 and Liberty League.

Senior Transfer Mark Lake led Bears with 23, Junior Rob Duquette was a force in the paint with 14 & 11;  Soph Colin Peterson added 13 including 3x5 beyond the arc; and Curtis Pierce filled the stat sheet with 11 pts, 7 boards, and 6 steals.

Jerry Coleman led knights with 22.

Go Figure, Ithaca beat Potsdam, Clarkson beats Ithaca, Potsdam beats Clarkson.

If this keeps up there will be a lot of 9-9 or 10-8 teams in the 'yac.

Go Bears!

Plattsburgh 84  St. Lawrence 68

Five ties and four lead changes over the 1st 10 minutes of play. SLU with their biggest lead at 20-16, when the Cards Kalik Parker hits three unanswered triples in a row to give Plattsburgh a lead they would never let go of. Up 25-20 they increased the lead to 30-24  but the Saints came back and closed to 32-30. Cards hit back to back 3 pointers again by Ed Correa and Shamoy McIntosh followed by a layup from Chris Manning to give then a 40-31 edge. SLU only managed a free throw to make it 40-32 at the half.

SLU threatened early in the 2nd to close within 3 at 42-39 but the Cards went on another 10-2 spurt to open up their first double digit lead at 52-41. It stayed that way until the Saints made a late move with 5 minutes left and cut it to 70-63. Cards with another 10-2 run to make it 82-65 and put the game away,

Kalik Parker led the Cards with 15 pts (5x13 fg, 4x11 3's 1x2 ft) which is his highest point total in a Cards uniform. 3 other Cardinal were in double figures as Shamoy McIntosh had 12 points (5x7 fg, 2x3 3's) and 3 steals. Chris Manning had another superb game running the point with 11 points, 9 assists, 5 steals, and 3 rebounds in 26 minutes of action. John Perez in his 2nd game back from an injury added 11 points and a team high 5 boards in 18 minutes of play. Frosh Ed Correa with a solid game scoring 6 points (2x4 3's) with 4 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist in 19 minutes. 14 players saw action and 10 of them hit the scoring column. So much depth on this young Cardinal team.

The Cards shot 31x57 from the field (54.4%), 8x20 from 3 point land (40.0%) and 14x24 from the stripe (58.3%) Cards had 27 rebounds to 30 for the Saints but the Saints had 20 turnovers to only 9 for Plattsburgh.

St. Lawrence was led by Kyle Miller with 14 pts (4x9 fg, 2x6 3's. 4x5 ft). Tell White had 12 pts (4x4 fg, 4x8 ft) and Janpeter Brase had 10 pts (4x5 fg, 2x4 ft). Brase was SLU's leading rebounder with 7 boards. The Saints shot 23x41 from the field (56.1%), 6x14 from behind the arc (42.95) and 16x31 from the line (51.6%).

Plattsburgh ups their record to 3-1 and will now travel to Oswego State on Friday Nov. 30th to open conference play. They face Cortland State the next day in what will probably be their toughest road trip of the season. I'll be happy if we come home with a split of those 2 games.

St Lawrence falls to 0-3 and will host winless Elmira on Sat. Dec. 1st. Someone will break into the win column that day.
