My biased opinion says Brockport should be receiving votes!  ;D I guess the loss to Rochester did them in.

The NCAA has released their most recent set of statistical leaders and as expected Kyle Richardson  and Justin Ringen along with  few other players from the SUNYAC  have moved up the leader boards. This is a list of players who have made the Top 50 in some of the categories listed. Obviously some players have played in more games than others so that helps them in the totals categories. For example Kyle Richardson is 6th in the country in rebounds per game but is 91st in the country in total rebounds because he has only played 5 games while every person ahead of him except two, have played in 6, 7, or 8 games.

Plattsburgh State's Kyle Richardson is 2nd in the nation in Offensive Rebounds with 5.60 per game.
Kyle is now in 6th place in the nation with an average of 12.2 rebounds per game.
Kyle is 40th in scoring with a 22.6 points per game average.

Geneseo State's Justin Ringen is 9th in 3 point field goal percentage with 56.3%
Justin is 12th in total 3 point field goals made with 27
Justin is 16th with 3.86 made 3 point field goals per game.
Justin is 18th in total points with 169
Justin is 21st in scoring with 24.1 points per game average

Oneonta State's Jack Dignan is 16th with 6.2 assists per game
Jack is 37th with 2.60 steals per game

Oswego State's Brian Sortino is 34th in total points with 152

Buffalo State's Michael Henry is 23rd with 4.0 Offensive rebounds per game.

Geneseo State's Charlie Zaepfel is 18th with 41 total assists
Charlie is 26th with 5.9 assists per game

Cortland State's Blair Estarfaa is 39th with 3.33 made 3 point field goals per game

Buffalo State's Nico McLean is 16th with 3.0 steals per game
Nico is 28th in the minutes per game category with 36.2
Nico is 33rd in the nation with 18 total steals

New Paltz State's RJ Rosa is 24th with 19 steals
RJ is 30th  with 2.71 steals per game

Latest top 25 rankings by D3Hoops out today!

http://www.d3hoops.com/top25/men/2015-16/week2

East - NYU at #14, St John Fisher at #24, Oswego at #32 and Geneseo at #54!

So you know in a Top 25... Oswego and Geneseo thus don't have ranking numbers, right ;)... just ORV. :p

Bengalsrule,
This is how you should have responded to Dave's post:

Dave,

How come I've never seen you go here:  http://www.d3boards.com/index.php?topic=4097.9390
and tell that to Darryl.  ;D

I'm feeling you pg04. I was sure that my BENGALS would get at least 1 vote after beating then #25 Oswego by 10 and also Hobart, the week before (ORV ranking last week) by 20.  Looks like the Cortland buzzer beater did us in. Oh well. The later the ranking the better!

So for the 2nd week in a row the magicman's Player of the Week Award is a joint affair with Kyle Richardson and Justin Ringen winning the weekly prize. Great efforts on the part of both players and I hope they have a few more of those stashed in the bank, that they will be able to draw upon as needed. Congratulations guys.

Note to Kyle and Justin... the magicman's weekly award is much more prestigious than the SUNYAC's weekly award. Just ask him the next time you see him and he will explain why!  ;D

I'm feeling you O.W.M.1.   . But you gotta come up with a better name for your weekly award. Maybe "Magics P.O.W."? Or the "Abacadabra P.O.W." ( get it abacadabra = magic  :-[ ::) ) or maybe even  the SUNYAC's "Magical team of the week" ( to compare to the D3HOOPS team of the week, which both Ringen and Richardson, should" have also gotten some strong consideration. )  I'm sure that dcahill, Jdex, all-time and Pg04 would even help in the voting for team of the week (count me in too). Something tells me that your wish from SUNYAC will fall on a few deaf ears (other than Fran's)

I have no desire to irritate/question Dave. He has been the best responder to any of my D3hoops questions on these boards (other than O.W.M.1)!  Something tells me that, when all is said and done, the 'Yac will get its due as the season goes on. Especially after the holiday tourneys. Some of those tourneys are shaping up to have some pretty decent competition. I know the BENGALS are in a tourney at Lehman College ("Coaches vs. Cancer"). Their 1st round opponent is 1 of the hottest teams in the country ( currently on a 5 game winning streak) from the NJAC, New Jersey City College (5-2, 3-0 NJAC, last week beat ORV Williams Patterson). If they win that game then they could face host Lehman college (5-2,2-0 in CUNY, has won 5 of last 6) and Lehman hosts #18 Brooklyn college this weekend! Or my BENGALS could face Western Conn ( 5-1, 1-0 in the LEC, on a 5 game win streak) in the 2nd round of the Coaches vs. Cancer tourney if they, W.Conn, beat Lehman in round 1.

As we speak that's 4 teams with a combined D3 record of (4-1, 5-2, 5-2 and 5-1) 19 - 6.  If everyone holds serve, over the next 2 weeks, then I'm looking at 4 teams with a combined record of 28-6 at this "tourney". Add Brockport who faces #11 John Carroll in Daytona (must be nice that time of year), in addition to the list of tournaments that Magicman presented up earlier , and there are quite a few SUNYAC schools that could improve our O.O.C. Strength of schedule rankings before we begin to pummel each other! I am curious how/why Geneseo allowed a schedule to basically have them off a month (Dec 5-Jan 5) but that's there problem...not mine?!.

Remember that this years Yac is a 3 bid conference (at the very least). Quote me!!

pg04

When my Uncle was still alive, I would go visit my Aunt and Uncle in their "winter home" in Daytona. Too bad I won't be there this year, my closest chance to see Brockport!

A single game on tap tonight involving a SUNYAC team as New Paltz State is hosting Springfield College at 8:00 PM.

The Hawks, once again are underdogs  in their own house, They enter this game with a single win so far this season and the prospects of taking down a NEWMAC team aren't very good. Springfield doesn't appear to be as good as  they normally are with losses  in 3 of 5 games so far. But the Pride have played some decent teams and just recently took down the Trinity Bantams who are once again are favored to make some noise in the NESCAC  conference. The oddsmakers have made Springfield  7 point favorite. I see no reason to think the Hawks can improve on that forecast. I think tht the outcome will be something like an 82-72 final score. Hope I'm wrong though. Love to see New Paltz win this game.

Darryl knows, but he is copying from a form where he is compiling all the info... I give him some slack due to the title he puts to separate the two levels. :)

New Paltz falls to Springfield 77-69

I had the final as an 82-72 Springfield win. That score wasn't far off on either side.

Hawks up 1 at the break 35-34 and still in front by a single point at 55-54 with 8 minutes to play. The Hawks missed a 3 point attempt and the Pride came down and scored to go in front 56-55 with 7:34 left and were never headed from that point forward. They extended the lead to 5 points by the 6:12 mark and when the Hawks committed a series of turnovers the lead reached double figures at 67-57 with 3:43 left to play. The Hawks had gone over 5 minutes without a field goal and the Pride made them pay. The closest they could get was 7 points and Springfield claimed the victory.

RJ Rosa was the top score for the Hawks with 17 points and 5 assists, while Nick Paquette tossed in 15 markers. Eric Regenbogen came off the bench to score 11 points, grab 3 boards and dish out 4 assists. Brandon Guest had 9 points and led the team with 11 rebounds.

New Paltz drops their 7th straight game and falls to 1-7 (0-2 SUNYAC) They will be off until January 2nd when they take on Kean University at 1:00 PM.

Springfield placed 4 guys in double figures led by 18 points each from Josh Altman and Alex Garstka. Josh Downes had 16 and Andy McNulty had 10.

Damn. Would have been a decent win for our conference.

All-Time

All-Time......What?!  When was it played.  Thought it was around 7 PM tonight?
Was going to ask the Magicman about the SUNY team.  Strange if it was played since the post by All-Time was posted before Noon today.
