jdex: Good to hear primary poster is safe and well. Actually CNY weather wasn't unsettled at all. Snow settled into drifts. Automobiles, small dogs, and children settled into snow. Should reappear in 60 - 90 days. Thanks for the tip on Hollenbeck's.

bports: Sounds reasonable. Would appreciate feedback on today's game. Drama remaining in reg season is positional - particularly who gets 8th and final spot.

Game time.

Plattsburgh 62, Cortland 55. Big performances from K. Hunt (23 pts on 9x11fg) and A. Williams (21 pts on 7x15fg, 3x8 3s, 4 assts, 2 stls) for Cards in 8th straight W. Corts most of first half till Hunt layup at 0:01 provided 25-24 edge. Game tied at 39 midway thru second half. Pburgh seizes lead and holds tight in limited single figures. Cards 23x49fg, 11x15ft. Corts WITH 46-26 BOARD MARGIN, but in reversal from previous night only 23x68fg AND 5x24 3s. J. Dumont 6 assts, T. Gorham 10 pts(4x7fg) and 8 rebs for Cards. CSt's J. Oneonta 75, New Paltz 57

Would have to say Corts, NP and Freds looking more and more  like short straw guys. Can beat each other but not much else -- unless Corts light it up like vs. Pdam on Friday

I guess i will take my pat on the back, Bport 91 oswego 76 is the final. See my post from 11am this morning LOL. Does anyone want any inside info on the super bowl? I will post tomorrows score in the afternoon. Back to a serious note Bport leads big the entire way. Bport goes up 45-28 at the half, oswego cuts it to 8 and then Bport goes on another late run. Game starts an hour late after a two hour blizzard. Refs were no where to be seen and they finally showed up. This makes 7 straight sunyac wins for the port with 4 of the last 5 at home. This was a good win playing a good oswego team that didnt have to play last night. Next up is buff st tues night, good work eagles.

bports: Will be going to the Turningstone this week. Please choose any 5 numbers from 00 - 36 and send them along. Will play $10 on each - 1 roulette spin.

After unsuccessfully trying to "will" a win for NP, you understand why I would preferto  play your numbers rather than my own.

Parish impressed when I say him at Oswego and continues to settle in. Will be making a Brockport and Geneseo visit this weekend.

Cortland 59, Oneonta 55
Brockport 94, Buffalo St. 67
New Paltz 91, Morrisville 61

Brockport pretty much has there way with buff st. Eagles play a sloppy first 10 minutes then go on a run and lead at the half by either 14 or 15. Brockport comes out in the second half a little sloppy then extends lead to 25. I think it was 94-67 final, just like index said. Sherod harris had another huge game with 23 pts 6 assts. Bwilliams and c parish with 16 and 15 respectively. This was the 8th straight win in sunyac for the eagles and will still play 3 of last 4 at home. Next up is home against potsdam and dont think the eagles will forget blowing that 18 pt lead at potsdam. That was also without two of there current starters 2nd semester additions harris and parish.

Once again Potsdam proves its the best 10 minute team in the league...Once again Potsdam proves its the worst 10 minute team in the league.

Best first half aspect for the Bears - the well done SUNY Potsdam promo pieces(T-W televised). The worst - well everything: 13 turnovers (Bears give the no-look pass  new meaning); no boards; shooting (what shooting? started 0-9 from 3); down 20 at the half - and, oh yea, this thing was televised.

Second half - Scott Mitchell goes nuts; several Bears remember to play defense...for a while; more than 1 guy boxes out on the glass, for a while; cut a 21 pt deficit to 4 over 10 minute span; then, crash and burn and lose by 11.

Anyone see Cortland's win?

Friday's slate is looking great. Billy games in Geneseo, Buff, and the Port.

Just got done looking at the SUNYIT-Potsdam box. IT only went 6 deep, 2 minutes from someone doesn't count in my book. Potsdam doesn't play Reinhardt in the second half and Alvin Dike doesn't play. Did these guys get hurt because they were both getting good minutes at the beginning of the year and now they aren't getting much. Any word from the injury front?

Both Brockport and Plattsburgh seem to be pulling away from the pack. It should definitely be an interesting matchup if they play each other in the SUNYACs. We shall see. It looks like Whitmore is back to his old ways playing 47 different guys while most teams are shortening their bench at this point. The team this team plays together the scarier that could be come SUNYAC and NCAA time.

BBM

Both Tim Reinhart and Alvin Dike are battling this tough flu virus that is pounding northern NY right now. SUNYIT was much quicker than Potsdam last night. Free throw line proved to be the big difference, again. Potsdam has to take the ball to the hole as that is what is being called this year. Any Potsdam players listening????

sports 101

To keep it real IT went 7 deep watch the game at 7 tonight on time warner channel no excuses where the flu came about but any way i guess they were  camera shy and to say bport and plattsbugh are running away with it  save it cortland was  running away with it last year what happened.
