Parity you ask? After 24 hours there are only 2 undefeated teams in SUNYAC, with 6 at 1-1!  This 1 is gonna come down to last day of season

Plattsburgh State 95   Buffalo State 68.

I had the Cardinals winning this one in an 88-83 shootout. Plattsburgh scored a few more than I thought they would and the Bengals failed to score as many.

This game didn't turn out as a very close contest like I thought it would. The Bengals didn't have a good day in Memorial Hall, as the Cardinals did to them what they usually do to others...create havoc on defense that leads to steals and turnovers. On Friday night the Bengals had 19 steals against Potsdam State. Today the Cardinals had 10 steals against the Bengals in the first half alone that resulted in a 56-34 halftime edge for Plattsburgh. The Cardinals broke open a close game 7 minutes into the first half when they turned an 8-7 advantage into a 19-10 lead with 13:16 left in the period. Buffalo State would come back and cut the lead to 3 points at 21-18 but the Cardinals would then make the definitive move and basically put this one away early. With 10 minutes left in the half Plattsburgh got a pair of free throws from Ian Howard, who then stole the ball on the Bengals next possession and was fouled again. Howard made another pair from the stripe to stretch the lead to 7 points. Eli Bryant then scored on a drive to the basket and followed that up with a 3 pointer to make it 30-18. Chris Middleton got an offensive rebound and scored inside and then Bryant buried a second three pointer. Middleton got another offensive rebound and another put back to end the run, but the score was now 37-18. Plattsburgh continued to lead by 17 to 20 points for the rest of the period. Tim Smith came into the game and hit a pair of 3 pointers in just over a minute apart. The lead ballooned to 25 before a buzzer beating 3 pointer by the Bengal's Malik Turner made the halftime score 56-34.

The 2nd half was more of the same for the Bengals as they scored the same amount of points as they did in the first half to end up with 68 for a total. Plattsburgh maintained a lead that drifted between 18 and 29 points  for the remainder of the game.

For the 2nd night in a row Plattsburgh's  Eli Bryant came off the bench to capture scoring honors with a game high 23 points in 22 minutes of court time. He added 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 assist while shooting 9x18 from the field. He probably would have been the SUNYAC Player of the Week for his two performances this weekend had Hamed Shamseldin not been All World against Medaille and Hobart.

Chris Middleton fired in 17 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had 3 steals along with 1 helper. Eric Mack only took 6 shots but made 5 of them to finish with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in 17 minutes on the floor. Ian Howard was the blue collar worker of the day as he just missed a double-double with 10 points and a game high 9 rebounds. He added a pair of assists and a steal.  Brandon Johnson had 9 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and a block. Tim Smith only played 6 minutes but hit 2 big 3 pointers with his only 2 shots.

The Bengals were led, as usual by Mike Henry with 17 points and a team high 8 rebounds. Sir. Quinton Campbell added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Sheldon Adams had 11 points, 2 assists and 2 steals. Malik Turner  chipped in with 8 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and a steal.

The Cardinals won the statistics battle shooting 53% from the field (35x66) to 37.9% (22x58) for Buff State. Plattsburgh was 8x18 from long range (44.4%) to 6x19 (31.6%)for the Bengals. The visitors did have an edge at the stripe making 18x26 (69.2%) to 17x31 for the Cards. (54.8%)

Plattsburgh had 46 rebounds to 32 for Buff State. The Cardinals also won the turnover battle as they gave the ball away 17 times, while the Bengals had a total of  23  TO's.

The officiating crew for this game had trouble keeping their whistles in their pocket for any stretch of the game. They called a total of 43 fouls (23 on Buff State, 20 on Plattsburgh) and many of them were incidental contact, that disrupted the flow of the game. A lot of their violation calls were questionable as well. Sometimes less is more, and some of these guys need to learn that.

Plattsburgh State has now won 3 in a row to improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference. They are currently in first place all by themselves. They will be back in action on Tuesday December 5th when they travel to Middlebury, Vermont to take on the 4th ranked team in the country. The Panthers will be heavy favorites to win that game as the oddsmakers have already made the Cardinals 18 point underdogs.

Buffalo State drops to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the YAC. They return to action this coming weekend as first Oswego State and then Cortland State will visit the Queen City on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. They are then off to Virginia to participate in the Hampden-Sydney Holiday Classic on Dec.16th and 17th.

Scores from the games of December 2nd

"Not in our House" was a familiar refrain, heard by all 5 visiting teams.

Fredonia State    52 Potsdam State 88

I had the Bears winning by a 75-71 final score. Potsdam took control of this game early and turned it into a rout. They were up 51-26 at the break and cruised to the finish line. Dante Langley was the big horse in this one for the Bears as he had a game high 24 points and game high 7 rebounds. Nosa Onabor was close behind with 19 points and 4 rebounds. 14 players broke into the scoring column for Potsdam.

Isaiah Ice led the Blue Devils with 9 points.

Potsdam improves to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play. They will travel 10 miles down Route 11 to take on St Lawrence on Tuesday, December 5th at 8:00 PM

Fredonia drops to 1-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference.     They will travel to Alfred State on Tuesday for a 7:30 PM tipoff.

Brockport   State 83  Oneonta State  87

I had Brockport winning this one by an 82-77 final score. The Golden Eagles were only a point away from my prediction but The Red Dragons scored 10 more than I thought they would to pull off the mild upset. My total of 159 was only a point off and my margin of victory was also only a point away even if it was the other team. The crystal ball gets a little foggy at times, especially when I'm pressed for time. Had I looked a little deeper into the swirling mists I would have discovered that Oneonta was destined to win this game. :D

No way did Coach Conover want his troops to open conference play with an 0-2 record at home and he must have said the right things after the loss on Friday to Geneseo.  Brockport opened up an early lead at 11-6 behind their tandem of Hamed Shamseldin...7 quick points and Justin Summers...4 points, but Oneonta used the 3 point play of both the new and old fashioned variety to keep it close. Down 12-9 after 7:30 had gone by they used back to back layups from Deegan Harrison, 17 seconds apart, to grab their first lead at 13-12. They would move in front 20-14 but the Golden Eagles caught them on consecutive  3 pointers by Dwayne Daniel and Josh Nelson. Once again Oneonta moved in front by a 5 point margin and this time they never looked back. They were up 39-33 at the break and maintained a lead between 5 and 12 points for most of the 2nd half. The Golden Eagles made one last push with 4 minutes left to play when they got to within a single possession at 68-65 after a Mike O'Hara layup. Both teams misfired on their next possessions and then Kevin Macklin applied the finishing touch with back to back 3 pointers, in a 32 second span, to build the lead back to 9 points at 74-65. There was still some drama left, however, as Shamseldin was fouled on a 3 point attempt and made all 3 from the stripe to make it 83-80. After Oneonta's Dwayne Freeman made a pair from the line with 8 seconds left, Shamseldin buried another one from long range to make it 85-83 with 3 ticks remaining. Freeman was fouled and made 2 more free throws and this one was history.

Kevin Mackin led the Red Dragons with 17 points. He was 5x9 from the field including 4x6 from behind the arc. Carson Jacobs had 15 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Dwayne Freeman had 13 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. Matt Boyd just missed a triple double with 9 points, a team high 9 rebounds, and a game high 12 assists.

Hamed Shamseldin continued his torrid ways with a game high 28 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal. Justin Summers had a big night as well, compiling a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. Tyler Collins came off the bench to add 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

Oneonta improves to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the YAC. They will return to action on Tuesday December 5th with a game at Oswego State that tips off at 7:30.

Brockport falls to 4-2 overall and is also 1-1 in the conference. They are off until next weekend when they make the long trip North to take on Plattsburgh State on Friday night at 7:30 PM and Potsdam on Saturday at 3:00 PM.

Oswego State  70    Cortland State  77

This one could be my closest prediction of the year as I missed it by a single point. I had Cortland winning by a 77-71 final score and that missed free throw by Jamir Ferebee with 13:28 left in the 2nd half is the one that prevented me from perfection. I'll be sure to remind him of that fact on  February 3rd when he visits Plattsburgh. ;)

Cortland jumped out to an 8-0 lead in this one and they were never headed. Oswego trailed the entire game except for a brief moment early in the 2nd period when they fought back from a 39-32 halftime deficit. Ian Schupp, who had 7 three pointers on the day, opened the 2nd half with 3 of them and together with a layup from Tyler Pierre outscored the Red Dragons 11-4 to tie the game at 43 with 16:15 left to play. It was the only tie of the game and Cortland promptly scored the next 7 points to go back in front 50-43. The Lakers never got closer than 3 points after that and the lead grew to as much as 12 points with 47 seconds to go.

Cortland had 4 players in double figures led by James Morales who had 21 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Justin Cooper was right behind him with a double-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Zach Lydon had 14 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks, while Carrel Joseph had 11 points, 8 boards and 2 assists.

Ian Schupp led the Lakers and grabbed scoring honors with 23 points and 3 assists. He was 8x18 from the field but an even better 7x11 from long distance. That means he was 1x7 from inside the arc. Coach Leone needs to tell him to stop trying to take those short range shots and concentrate on his specialty. :D
Jamir Ferebee had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, a block and a steal. Tyler Pierre added 14 points and a team high 9 rebounds. Liam Sanborn had a game high 8 assists, 4 points, 2 rebounds and a steal. Josh Ivy came off the bench and had 6 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal in 17 minutes of court time.

Cortland improves to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the YAC. They will be back in action on Tuesday when they host New Paltz at 7:30 PM.

Oswego falls to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play. They will host Oneonta State on Tuesday at 7:30 PM

Geneseo State  60  New Paltz State 73

The upset special of the day as New Paltz surprises the Knights and gets their first conference win since Feb. 20th 2016, a stretch that saw them lose 19 consecutive SUNYAC games. It must feel good for Coach Kenny and his Hawk players to get off the schneid on that one. I had the Knights winning this game by a 78-66 score but it didn't surprise me when I saw the result. I said earlier that the Hawks were an improved team this year and I expect them to win a few more games.

The first 10 minutes of the game were closely contested and saw the Knights jump out to an early 6 point lead at 13-7. The Hawks finally caught them at 13 all when Corey Garcia hit a 3 pointer. Dylan Balducci nailed one after a couple of empty possessions by both teams and the Hawks were up 16-13, in the middle of an 18-0 run that gave then a 25-13 advantage with 9 minutes left in the period. Balducci had 8 of those 18 points to fuel that run. The Knights would come back from the double digit deficit and close within a single point to trail at the break 33-32.

The teams traded leads to open the 2nd half until the Hawks moved in front 49-39 with another 9-0 run after 6 minutes had gone by in the period. The closest the Knights could get after that was 4 points and most of the time the lead was in the 7 to 12 point range.

Kevin Coyle led the Hawks with a game high 16 points and 5 assists. Brandon Guest had a double-double of 12 points and a game high 16 rebounds. Dylan Balducci had 13 points and 4 rebounds while Corey Garcia had 12 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

Quinn Carey was he high man for the Knights, tying for game honors with 16 points. Kevin Crockett was close behind with 15 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Tommy Eastman had 9 points,  a team high 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and a block.

New Paltz improves to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in the SUNYAC. They will travel to Cortland for a 7:30 PM game on Tuesday, December 5th.

Geneseo drops to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference. They will host the University of Rochester on Tuesday in a 7:00 PM start.

Buffalo State  68    Plattsburgh State    95

And yes parity is present in the YAC....and so is parody. ;D

magicman

In the biggest surprise of the week (just kidding, we all knew it was just a formality) Hamed Shamseldin is named the SUNYAC Player of the Week.

Here's the writeup from the YAC website:

Hamed Shamseldin, MBB, AOW, Brockport

Dec 04, 2017
Shamseldin was the key to an impressive week for Brockport. In the first game of the week against Medaille College, Hamed recorded a triple-double, which included 26 points and 11 rebounds and assists, both of which are career highs. On the second game of a back to back, Shamseldin racked up a career-high 42 points, 6 assists, 9 rebounds and added 6 steals. Over the weekend against Oneonta, Hamed scored 28 points and grabbed 8 boards. Overall, Shamseldin finished the week averaging 26.0 ppg, 5.8 apg, 7.8 rbg in 36.5 mpg.

This was just another week at the office for Hamed, albeit a good week. I have a feeling this won't be the only week he wins this award. Hey Hamed, just don't  go off in the 2 games you play Plattsburgh State. Save it for someone else (preferably Cortland) or the magicman will get out his magic wand and put a hex on you. ;D

Dec. 5     8 teams in action today in 6 games. Only Brockport State and Buffalo State are idle.

I'm off to Middlebury shortly to watch my Cardinals take on the #2 ranked team in the country. Only time for some quick picks here.

#17 Rochester  @  Geneseo  State        7:00 PM

Geneseo also has to face a Top 25 team tonight as they host the University of Rochester, currently ranked at #17 in the D3hoops Top 25. Geneseo is coming off a road win at Oneonta, a game I expected them to lose, and  a road loss to New Paltz in a game I expected them to win. The oddsmakers expect them to lose this game as they favor the Yellowjackets by 7 points. I expect them to lose as well so maybe they will win. Rochester takes this one 72-67. But I hope I'm wrong.

Fredonia State  @  Alfred State                7:30 PM

The Blue Devils need a win badly and this might be their best opportunity for a while. The point spread still is in favor of the Pioneers from Alfred State by a 4 point margin. They beat Elmira, who beat Oswego State. Can you see where I'm going here? I'd like to pick the Blue Devils but they have to prove to me they can win games where they should be competitive. After the whipping Potsdam put on them last Saturday, I can't pick them today. Alfred State 77 Fredonia 72.

New Paltz State   @  Cortland State        7:30 PM

The Hawks surprised Geneseo over the weekend and are looking to start a winning sreak. The Red Dragons are looking to stay undefeated in conference play and move into a tie for the top spot. The oddsmakers have made Cortland an 18 point favorite in this one. I have to agree and think the Red Dragons will win by a comfortable margin. Cortland 84 New Paltz 65.

Oneonta  State   @  Oswego State    7:30 PM

The Red Dragons are slight favorites in this one by a single point. I think they beat the Lakers who are struggling this year without a full lineup. Oneonta 78 Oswego 74

Potsdam  @    St. Lawrence        8:00

The Bears are rated as double digit underdogs here but I think they can win this game. St. Lawrence is favored by 11 points but I'm taking Potsdam to pull off the upset by a 76-72 final score.

Plattsburgh State  @  #2 Middlebury     7:30 PM

The Cardinals haven't had a lot of luck against Middlebury the past few years, losing the last 3 games against the Panthers. Tonight looks to be more of the same as the Panthers are undefeated and come into this contest with their loftiest ranking in a number of years as they moved up to #2 in the D3hoops Top 25 that was released last night.  The Cardinals have put together 3 wins in a row after opening the season with 2 losses against Keene State and Skidmore,  teams expected to do quite well this year. Skidmore is ranked #16 in the D3hoops Top 25 and Keene State has been receiving votes in each poll so far. Middlebury comes into this game with a 4-0 record but hasn't played a particularly dfficult schedule so far. The oddsmakers have them listed as a 14 point favorite.

Plattsburgh is still without their best player but has the ability to win this game if they play their best ball and are hitting a normal percentage of their 3 point attempts. I expect the Panthers to come away with a win here but I'm still picking my Cardinals to pull off an upset and walk out of Pepin Gym with an 84-81 win.

Dec. 5th  Results.

Rochester    82     Geneseo State  60

The Yellowjackets stung the hell out of the Knights in this one as they win by 22 points. I thought Rochester would win but believed it would be a lot closer.

Fredonia State  74    Alfred State  51

My prediction of a Fredonia loss in this game was really an attempt to force the Blue Devils to prove me wrong...and it worked. The Blue Devils get a win as Ian Helps proved to be too much for the Pioneers to handle. Helps with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. A loss to Alfred State by a SUNYAC team would have been embarrassing.

New Paltz State 73    Cortland State   89

The Red Dragons take care of business and move into a tie for first place in the conference with Plattsburgh. This score was  close to my prediction of an 84-65 Cortland win. Cortland with a double-double from Justin Cooper of 22 points and 9 rebounds, both game highs. He just missed a triple-double as he had 9 assists as well. James Morales and Nicky Bonura had 17 points each. Tristan Wissemann was the high man for the Hawks with 17 points.

Oneonta  41    Oswego State  47

It must have been Throw Back Tuesday in Oswego Tuesday night as the teams decided to play without a shot clock from the looks of this score. The Lakers trailed at the end of the first half 24-16 and then held these Red Dragons to only 17 points in the 2nd half. Don't think either team will be so hard pressed for points the rest of this hoops season. Josh Ivey was the high man for the Lakers with 9 points. Tyler Pierre with a game high 11 boards. Both Ian Schupp and Liam Sanborn had 8 points for Oswego. Kevin Mackin had a game high 16 points for Oneonta along with 8 rebounds. Dwayne Freeman had12points and 8 boards. Ian Schultz also had a game high 11 rebounds, along with a game high 5 assists.

Potsdam State  70    St. Lawrence  89

The Bears had no answer for the Saints starting forwards of Riley Naclerio... 26 points,14 rebounds and Ben Crawford...25 points 10 rebounds. Potsdam trailed by 10 at the break and it only got worse in the 2nd half. I thought this would be the year Potsdam might get a win in this rivalry but my score of 76-72 Potsdam, wasn't close. Nosa Onabor led the Bears with 15 points.

Plattsburgh State    68    Middlebury    92

The Cardinals only managed to make a bad day at Black Rock worse as they were handled by the Panthers rather handily. I knew that Middlebury would probably win this game but I expected a closer game and a possible upset. This was a classic "trap game" for #2 ranked Middlebury with the Panthers facing off against another undefeated ranked team on Friday when they travel to #16 Skidmore. But Coach Jeff Brown wouldn't let his Panthers look past Plattsburgh and his team came to play. The were in control of this game from the start with double digit leads throughout the contest. Plattsburgh fought back a number of times and managed to stay within striking distance as they narrowed a 14 point lead down to 8 at the half, 38-30.

Brandon Johnson opened the 2nd half with a pair of quick baskets to make it 38-34 but that was as close as the Cardinals would get. Middlebury promptly proceeded to go on a 21-3 run over the next 5 minutes as  Plattsburgh once again went on a long stretch without scoring a single point. The lead was never below 20 points after that. The Panthers had 5 guys hit double figures led by Jack Daley and Matt Folger with 14 points each.  Plattsburgh got 12 points from Eli Bryant. The Cardinals were outshot from the field and most notably from long range where the Panthers made 12 of 25 and Plattsburgh was only 5 for 19. That's a 21 point difference. The Cardinals also failed to take care of the ball as they committed 23 turnovers.

Dec. 8    4 games on tonight's schedule, all SUNYAC contests, all starting at 7:30 PM

Potsdam State   @   Geneseo State        7:30 PM

Both teams coming into this contest having lost 3 of their last 4 games. The Bears have lost 9 straight games to Geneseo and nearly all of them have been by double digits. The oddsmakers think that will happen once again as they have listed the Knights as a 12 point favorite. Hard to pick my Bears in this one on the road. Geneseo wins 77-68.

Cortland State  @  Fredonia State        7:30 PM

The Red Dragons should take care of business here and are favored by 11 points. The Blue Devils haven't defeated Cortland in 7 years having lost 12 straight games in this series. Cortland can't look past this team because they are capable of an upset, as Plattsburgh, Geneseo and Oswego all found out last year. I don't see that happening tonight to a strong Cortland team. The Red Dragons take this one 86-68.

Oswego State  @  Buffalo State                7:30 PM

The Lakers won one on the road last time out by knocking off Oneonta with an offensive explosion of 47 points. ???They will need a few more than that tonight, if they hope to start a winning streak. The oddsmakers have made the Bengals a 5 point choice in this one but they better put on their dancing shoes, cause they were doing a slow waltz the last time they took the court against Plattsburgh. They will need a much better effort to beat the Lakers, who won all 3 meetings last year. I think the Bengals get a little payback                                   as they come away with a 79-75 victory.

Plattsburgh State  @  Brockport State        7:30 PM Featured Game of the Night

Always entertaining when these two teams hook up and I wish I was courtside tonight to take this one in. I'll have to settle for watching it on my big screen TV. The teams have split their last 12 meetings but the Golden Eagles won both games last year. Brockport had won 4 games in a row after opening the season with a loss but stumbled last Saturday at Oneonta fallng to the Red Dragons 87-83. Plattsburgh won 3 in a row before falling to Middlebury on Tuesday by a lopsided 92-68 final that evened their record at 3-3   The oddsmakers have made Brockport a 6 point favorite in today's game which means nothing when these two go at it. Neither does home court advantage as they have both won numerous times in each other's house.

The Cardinals need to slow down reigning SUNYAC Player of the Week Hamed Shamseldin (thought he was a lock for the D3hoops Team of the Week as well,  but maybe he wasn't nominated by the school...he certainly had the numbers to merit inclusion on that team). If he replicates his efforts of Medaille or Hobart or Oneonta, the Cards could be in for a long night. They need to account for Justin Summers as well. Last year at Plattsburgh he was a big reason the Golden Eagles walked out of Memorial Hall with a W.

Plattsburgh is still without the services of their best player, and this team can be hit or miss without their go to guy. Poor three point shooting, and turnovers have haunted them in their 3 losses. Athleticism and their ability to run the floor have been their assets in the 3 wins. Eli Bryant has been huge the last few games coming off the bench to lead the team in scoring. Chris Middleton has picked his game up as well and the high flying Eric Mack can cause problems inside with ability to get to the rim at will. However, he has to get the ball to do so and needs more touches before the offense quickly fires up long range bombs that haven't been falling.

I'm picking the Cardinals to win (mainly because I never pick them to lose) because I think they match up well against Brockport this year and it's time for a little Cardinal revenge. The 94-88 loss last year in Plattsburgh, in one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen, (52 personal fouls and 5 technical fouls called) left a bad taste and I'm hoping my guys can erase it tonight. Plattsburgh wins this one by an 83-80 final score.

Plattsburgh needs to clamp down on Justin Summers who is killing the Cardinals with 17 points and 6 rebounds at the half. Josh Nelson has 9 and  Hamed Shamseldin has 8 points for the Golden Eagles.

The Cardinals get 11 points and 4 boards from Eric Mack to keep them close. Chris Middleton and Adam Jaquish both have 6 points.

Brockport had a 13 point lead with 12:11 to go in the half but the Cardinals managed to rally and cut it to a single point. Brockport came back toward the end of the period to go up by 7 at the break.

Final Scores of today's games.

Cortland State 77 Fredonia State 56.

Red Dragons win but nothing was easy here as the Blue Devils were only down 37-36 at the break.

James Morales led Cortland with a game high 21 points. Justin Cooper had 18 and Zach Lydon had 15. Lydon led the team with 8 rebounds.

Ian Helps had 18 points for the Blue Devils. Kay Jackson had 12 points and Jonathan McDonald had 10. McDonald also had a game high 10 rebounds.

I had Cortland winning 86-68. Both teams came up a bit short of my posted totals but he margin of victory was pretty close.

Oswego State 92 Buffalo State 83

The Bengals may look back at this game as the one that got away if they fail to make the postseason. They held a 12 point lead early in the 2nd half and were still up by 5 points with under 5 minutes left in the game. They couldn't hold off the Lakers though and several turnovers down the stretch proved to be costly as the Lakers did an about face and went from 5 points behind with 5:29 to play to 5 points ahead with 2:18 to play. A miss at the line on the front end of a 1&1 by Buff State and a dagger three by the Lakers' Louis Avellino at the other end put this one in the Lakers' win column.

Jamir Ferebee put up a big number with a game high 35 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. Tyler Pierre had 15 points and 8 rebounds while Josh Ivey had 14 points and 16 boards to give him a double-double. All those rebounds were he main reason the Bengals were killed on the boards 43-25. The Bengal didn't get any homer calls either as the Lakers went to the line 36 times (making 27) to only 16 times for Buff State (11x16).

Bryan Harrell led the Bengals with 21 points and 4 rebounds. Sheldon Adams had 19 points and 3 blocks. Mike Henry had 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

I had the Bengals winning this game by a 79-75 final but the Lakers wanted to make up for the 47 points they put on the board last game as they nearly doubled that output.

Tough game last night. Give Oswego their due.  When it was time to put up or shut up.  They put up.
Hopefully our young guys realize that the games are 40 mins long, not 35.  Encouraged today when I see 13 years of former BENGALS players in our annual alumni game.  Takes me back to 2011 championship season when no less than 8 of those guys showed up to play today !  Hopefully that rubs off on my current BENGALS !  The only undefeated SUNYAC  team, Cortland, arrives in  less than 2 hours !  When gotta be ready. I think we will be !

I'm pumped

Go BENGALS!!!!!!
