No, you did not have it wrong. Live Stats on both D3 and SUNYAC sites had Plattsburgh leading this game most of the time. Wasn't the case. Weird. Don't know about D3 immediately having the final result right, but SUNYAC board at game's end did not. Was corrected.

It's all from the same database -- unfortunately, if the SUNYAC did not have home and away set up correctly for its neutral game, there was little we could do to change it without being informed.

I didn't know who was at fault but I did send a message to D3hoops the day before the game that the Feb 22nd scoreboard and the team pages listed the game as Plattsburgh at Brockport as if the Golden Eagles were the home team. Knowing that the Cardinals were the #2 seed and Brockport the #3 seed playing on a neutral court, I thought the Cardinals would be on the right side of the D3hoops scoreboard.  I tried my best to get it corrected ahead of time. ;D

Oswego State wins the SUNYAC Championship as they defeat Brockport 55-50.

Brockport leads Oswego 31-25 at the half.

Jahidi Wallace with 10 points to lead Brockport.  Danny Ashley has 8 points.

Brandon Gartland and Quinn Carey with 6 points each for Oswego.

Didn't get a chance to post my prediction for this game. Brockport should have fresher legs because of the minutes the 5 starters for Oswego played last night. I still think Oswego is going to come back from the 6 point halftime deficit and win this game.
Final score could be something like 67-65 in favor of Oswego.

yup, Oz wins by 5, congrats to the Lakers

Oswego wins the YAC championship to get the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Rochester didn't do their part as they lost this afternoon, giving the championship of the UAA and the automatic bid to the Emory Eagles.

I expect Oswego State will be #1, Rochester will be #2 and Plattsburgh State will be #3 in the East when the new rankings are finalized on Sunday. Rochester will be at the table first and they will get a Pool C bid to the NCAA tournament. The East region may not get another at large bid so Plattsburgh's season may be done.  Hopefully that's not the case, but it wouldn't surprise me. As I stated earlier there has already been a number of upsets and many of the 20 Pool C bids have been snatched up.

Knowing how the NCAA loves to avoid travel costs, how about a pod in Oswego with Morrisville vs. Oswego and Alfred vs. U of R.

Could be Hamilton hosting

Agreed, Clinton would be a very convenient spot for a pod with say Plattsburgh, Skidmore/Hobart, Morrisville.

with 4 NESCAC teams in the field, and this year women's teams have first round priority, those four will be spread around for sure.

Amherst women are a lock, so the Mammoth men will be traveling, even if they win today.

Congratulations to the Oswego State Lakers and Coach Jason Leone on winning the SUNYAC Championship. The Lakers won two tough games that came right down to the wire and did so with a starting five that got very little rest. Of the 450 minutes of court time the team played this weekend...the starters played 430 minutes.

Brockport also deserves credit for the 2 games they played, after losing the team's leading scorer and first team All Conference player, Justin Summers. Losing Justin, a few minutes into the semifinal game on Friday, was a devastating blow, but the Golden Eagles almost pulled off an amazing weekend.

Oneonta makes the Final Four with a helluva push in the final 3 weeks of the regular season and then has to play the SUNYAC tournament without their leading scorer, Kevin Mackin. They beat Cortland and then gave the Lakers all they could handle in the double overtime semifinal game. Their bench was as short or shorter than Oswego's was.

Plattsburgh State put up a valiant effort against Brockport in the semifinals coming back from a 15 point deficit to get the lead late in the game. Brockport made the shot to take the lead (great shot by Jahidi Wallace)  and the Cardinals' attempt at the game winner rims out. Hopefully Plattsburgh, by virtue of their body of work, will continue to play next weekend when the Dance starts.

So four teams that made for an unforgettable SUNYAC tournament with 3 games that were all nail biting, barnburners. You can't ask for more than that.

Congratulations to all the schools in the SUNYAC. We had schools that improved tremendously this year like Potsdam and New Paltz, and we have lots of good, young, players coming back next year that will once again make the YAC one of the better conferences out there.

With Age Comes Wisdom?

Man that would not be very nice to the East if only 2 teams get Pool C bids?  Cmon.. the Cards deserve to go if only to keep Magic truly engaged!!! ;D

with age,

If two teams from the East get Pool C bids I would be very happy because Plattsburgh should be 1 of them with Rochester the other. It's what will happen if the East only gets 1 bid and that could happen. Then Rochester goes and my Cards stay home.

I am hopeful that we get 2 bids. Don't see any way the East would get 3 bids.

With Age Comes Wisdom?

Didn't the Cards have a win over Middlebury this season?  Yet everyone seems to think they have almost a lock except of course their own fans... ;)  Dance Cards ...dance is my prediction!  Pretty sure that none of the LL teams are in the picture except for the tournament winner... :-[

It's more than just one game.  If they're on the board at the same time, then it might come into play, but I suspect Middlebury will be gone before Plattsburgh come up.

How did you send this? I didn't see it, sorry. But also, I am highly unlikely to overrule the SUNYAC and do something that would change the SUNYAC's website. Schools and conferences don't like that.

The bracketing in this sport does not go this way, actually. Plattsburgh hosted a pod with two East teams, a New England team and an Atlantic team last year. St. John Fisher hosted a pod with two Easts and two Northeasts in 2017, as did U of R. Plattsburgh hosted three New England teams in 2016.

Good luck to the SUNYAC teams that make the dance!  Projections seem good for your Cardinals, magicman!
