My Eagles were down by 9, 43-34, in the first half to Alfred. It was definitely a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde first half for the Eagles. They came out with a different attitude in the second going on 27-2 sprint to take a 63-45 lead and never looked back. Devante Hagins was the catalyst in that run. He played like a man posessed!!! All the Eagles contributed to that 2nd half turnaround. Nice win!!! Back to the SUNY's next week!!

Brockport 87    Alfred 64

I almost nailed Brockport's total with my 85-73 prediction. After the horrible first half they played I wasn't sure they would win the game, much less reach the point total I thought they put up. Coach Dunne must have had a few things to say at halftime. Whatever he said, they had to be words of motivation, because his troops played like a different team in the 2nd period. Less turnovers, more assists, less fouls, better shot selection and accuracy.....in other words a different team than the one on the floor in the first half.

After going from an 11 point lead to a 12 point deficit at 39-27, the Golden Eagles were fortunate to only be down by 9 at the break. They came out of the locker room on fire which sparked an 11-2 run to tie the game at 45-45 at the 16:23 mark. They were just getting warmed up. 18 more points would get tacked on to that run making it a 29-2 outburst over the first 8 minutes of the 2nd half and the score was now 63-45. That was the ballgame as Alfred never got closer than 14 points, briefly, and Brockport stretched the lead to as many as 23. Antonio Alvarez started the Golden Eagles 2nd half  output with 5 quick points on a layup and 3 pointer, both scores coming off offensive rebounds by the Eagles after initial misses. Devante Hagins then took over the game with 12 of those 29 points coming on a variety of moves inside. He had drives, bank shots, a tip in out of nowhere, and free throws. He also had several steals, took a charge, grabbed a few boards and was a one man band. Alfred had no answer for him tonight. Five different players contributed to the point total  during that run, but it was clearly Hagins' night to shine.

The Golden Eagles ended up shooting 49% for the game after shooting just 37% in the first half. After making just 1 in 10 attempts from long range in the opening period they were 4 for 9 in the 2nd half. Alfred shot 30% from the field (18x59) and 23.5% from behind the arc (4x17).  The Saxons were 24x27 from the line while Port was 26x38. 52 personal fouls and 2 technicals whistled in the game. 23 turnovers for Alfred and 21 for Brockport. Port had 42 rebounds to 35 for Alfred.

Brockport
Jahidi Wallace captured scoring honors with a game high 17 points. he added 6 rebounds and was a perfect 10x10 from the line.

Devante Hagins in just his 3rd game of the season made his presence felt in so many ways. He had 16 points, a game high 8 rebounds, a game high 5 assists, a team high 3 steals and 3 blocks. 14 of those points came in the 2nd half.

Tyree Grimsley had 12 points and 4 rebounds in 15 minutes of court time off the bench.

Justin Summers had 11 points and tied Hagins with 3 blocks.

Antonio Alvarez had 11 points, 4 rebounds a block and a steal in 17 minutes off the bench. He was 3x6 from long range.

Danny Ashley had 6 points, 6 rebounds, tied Hagins with 5 assists and had a steal.

Alfred
Sam Dagon led the Saxons with 15 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

Mike Schmidt had 9 points 5 steals, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

Brockport improves to 7-2 overall (2-0 SUNYAC) and is off until next Friday, January 10th, when they travel north to take on Potsdam at 7:30 PM.

Alfred is now 5-5 overall and will face Keuka on Monday January 6th at 6:00 PM before heading into conference play next weekend.

Ben Walters Named to D3hoops.com National Team of the Week

This is for the period that covered games from  December 16th through the 29th.

Here is the write up from the D3hoops front page.

"Ben Walters  Guard Cortland State

Walters averaged 21 points per game in two Cortland wins. He scored 18 points (4-of-10 3-pointers) in a 69-60 win over Gwynedd Mercy at the HoopMIA D3 Holiday Shootout Dec. 17 and he scored 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting (4-of-8 from 3-point range) in a 98-73 win over Pitt Bradford in the opening round of the St. John Fisher Woodcliff Hotel & Spa Tournament."

Here is the write up from the Cortland website:

"Cortland men's basketball junior guard Ben Walters (Lockport/Starpoint) has been named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, for the period covering games from Dec. 16-29. The team recognizes the top five players nationally each week. Walters is one of two backcourt players who were chosen.

Walters averaged 21 points per game in two Cortland wins during the period. He scored 18 points (4-of-10 3-pointers) in a 69-60 win over Gwynedd Mercy at the HoopMIA D3 Holiday Shootout Dec. 17 in Florida and he scored 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting (4-of-8 from 3-point range) in a 98-73 win over Pitt Bradford in the opening round of the St. John Fisher Woodcliff Hotel & Spa Tournament Dec. 29.

The following day, Walters also shot 4-for-8 from 3-point range and scored 20 points in the Red Dragons' 102-78 win over St. John Fisher in the finals of the Woodcliff tournament. That performance, however, was not considered for the D3hoops award.

Through eight games, Walters is averaging 12.3 points per contest. He's shooting 46 percent from the floor overall and 35 percent (18-for-52) from 3-point range, and he's hit 82 percent of his free throws (14-for-17).

Cortland (6-2) will play its final non-league game of the regular season Saturday at 2 p.m. when it hosts Cabrini University of Pennsylvania."

Congratulations to Ben for 3 outstanding games. Ben is the 2nd player from Cortland to make the D3hoops Team of the Week this season as Austin Grunder was selected in Week #4.

Jan. 4                             Three teams from the conference playing today

Clarkson  at  Plattsburgh State        2:00 PM

The Golden Knights will be looking to get a win in this rivalry for the first time in 11 years. The teams didn't meet in 4 of those years but the Cardinals have won 8 of the 9 games played going back to 2006. Clarkson's last win was a 59-58 victory on November 26th 2008. Overall the series is 27-24 in favor of Plattsburgh. Plattsburgh won last years contest by a score of 105-95.

Clarkson is 3-6 this season and at the present time the only common opponent with the Cardinals is St Lawrence. The Knights beat the Saints 81-78 and Plattsburgh owns an 89-84 win over SLU.

The oddsmakers have made Plattsburgh an 8 point favorite in this game. Clarkson has some talent and hung with Oswego State earlier only losing by an 80-72 score. I think this one will be a close game and see Plattsburgh winning by an 78-73 final score.

Cabrini  at  Cortland State        2:00 PM

The Red Dragons host the Cabrini Caveliers as part of a home and home series. Last year Cortland traveled to Pennslyvania and got a 92-86 win. Cabrini lost 5 players from that team including 3 starters and their top scorer. They are just 3-8 this season but 4 of those losses were to pretty good teams. They sandwiched a win with two 4 game losing streaks and are in need of a victory in a bad way. Cortland better not take them for granted because of their record. They have several decent players, a guard and a forward that can light it up.

Cortland is coming off 4 straight wins including the championship of the St John Fisher tournament eartlier in the week. This is their final non-conference game and they would like to finish that 7 game slate with a 6-1 record. Not sure if they will have big man Eric Edwards back or not as the last game he played in was down in Florida on 12-17.

The oddsmakers have made the Red Dragons a 14 point favorite. Cortland beat an Eastern team back on December 15th in Florida by a 71-62 margin. Eastern defeated Cabrini back in November 62-57. Add those MOV's together and you get 14 points. Sounds right to me. I think Cortland could win by a few more especially if Edwards plays. I'll take Cortland to win by an 88-71 final.

Oswego State  vs  Montclair State        6:30 PM   at    Bethlehem, Pa.  Moravian College Steel Club Classic

The Lakers are in for a tough game here and will need to be at their best to get the W. Montclair State is currently in first place in the New Jersey Athletic Conference with a 5-0 record. They return 4 players that started last year and a 5th player that was injured and didn't play but is averaging 12.9 ppg this year.

The Lakers have been off for 28 days and could be a little rusty. They will need to be sharp from the opening tip off because Montclair has a deep rotation. They like an up tempo game and it will be tough to come back if they get down early. Many of their games have been track meets with triple figure scores, commonplace.

The point spread favors the Red Hawks by a slim 1 point margin and my head says take Montclair because they're deep, long and athletic, and I'm still thinking about that Laker loss to St. Lawrence. So of course I'm taking the Lakers to win....by an 85-82 final score.

Oswego and  Montclair State tied at 38-38  at the half

The Lakers grabbed an early 7 point lead at 12-5 but the Red Hawks caught them at 16 and its been a back and forth battle ever since. Montclair State opened up a 6 point lead on 4 different occasions starting at 26-20, and ending at 36-30. Oswego ended the period on an 8-2 run thanks to a pair of threes from Hunter Cole and Brandon Gartland.

Gartland and Liam Sanborn lead Oswego with 9 points each. Joe Sullivan has 7 points and 5 rebounds.

The Red Hawks got 10 points from Steve Breeman and 8 points from Akbar Hoffman.

As mentioned in my preview the Red Hawks are deep and use a solid 10 man rotation and press you from end to end. To combat that Coach Leone is getting extra help from his bench players and so far so good. At one point he had 4 freshman and a sophmore on the floor at the same time.  I had to go to the roster of the Lakers to check and see if I was right and these guys were the New Kids on the Block.

Plattsburgh State  71   Clarkson 65

Good game on Saturday at Memorial Hall in Plattsburgh. I had the Cardinals winning by a 78-73 score and my MOV was just a point off. Lots of missed opportunities kept the score a bit below my projections.

The Cardinals were the ones playing catch up for the first 12 minutes of the game. They were constantly a possession or two behind but finally caught the Knights and went up 20-19 when Axel Rodriguez got the hoop and harm with 8 minutes left in the half. The Cardinals got back to back buckets from Travis Cox to go ahead 26-22 but the Knights tied the game and went back in front when Plattsburgh had several turnovers resulting in layups for Clarkson. Down 30-28, Plattsburgh got six straight points from Cox on a layup, a jumper and 2 free throws to make it 34-30. Clarkson got a three from Matt Higgins with 26 seconds left but Plattsburgh's Nick DeAngelis answered that with a triple of his own, as the half came to a close and the Cards were up by a 37-33 score.

Travis Cox had a huge first half with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. DeAngelis added 10 points as the duo combined for 28 of the Cardinals 37 points.

Plattsburgh wasted little time adding to their lead as big man Cameron Ness scored off a nice feed from DeAngelis and Cox hit another pair of baskets to open up a 10 point lead at 43-33, two minutes into the period. Clarkson would finally get on the board with a free throw for their initial points of the 2nd half, but 6 more points by Plattsburgh extended their lead to 15 points at 49-34. It was a 12-1 run to create separation and over the next 8 minutes the lead wavered between 10 and 15 points. The Knights made a bit of a charge at the 8 minute mark when they reduced the margin to 8 points at 60-52. DeAngelis scored for Plattsburgh, the Knights responded with a three pointer, but DeAngelis calmly swished one from long range at the other end to maintain the double digit margin. It was the same story all afternoon......Cox or DeAngelis knocking down shots whenever the Knights tried to make a move. Still up by 12 at 67-55 with 4:29 to play Clarkson made a final push and once again cut the gap to just 7 points. DeAngelis scored to make it a 9 point lead but Clarkson got a layup and then a threeball to raise the excitement level a few degrees inside Memorial Hall. Now down by just 4 points at 69-65 with 1:36 to play, the Knights got another steal but couldn't get the three point attempt to go down. Plattsburgh missed on their end and Clarkson tried another 3 pointer, missed it, got the rebound and missed another 3. With time running out they had to foul and DeAngelis made both free throws to give the Cardinals the cushion they needed.

Plattsburgh shot 47.3% from the field (26x55), 31.3% from long range (5x16) and 77.8% from the line (14x18)
Clarkson shot 35.1% from the field (27x77, 20% from distance (7x35) and 66.7% from the line (4x6)
Plattsburgh had 46 rebounds to 33 for the Knights but the Cardinals were far more generous giving the ball away, as they had 21 turnovers to just 10 for Clarkson.

Plattsburgh
Travis Cox captured scoring and rebounding honors with a double-double of 26 points with 10 rebounds. He added 4 steals
Nick DeAngelis was right behind him with 25 points and 6 rebounds. He added 2 asists a block and a steal.
Jeremy Eisenman had 9 rebounds and 3 points
Axel Rodriguez had 5 points and 5 rebounds,
Erik Salo had 8 rebounds and 4 points.
Cameron Ness had 6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals

Clarkson
Reese Swedberg scored 13 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals
Blake Gearhart had 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
Matt Hoggins had 12 points, 3 reboiunds, an assist and a steal.

Plattsburgh improves to 4-4 overall (1-1 conf.) and will be in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Vermont to take on the Middlebury Panthers. Middlebury is the 4th ranked team in the country, and undefeated at 12-0 They may be ranked even higher by Tuesday as a new poll comes out Monday night. (I'm guessing they will move up to Number Three.)
Of note is that former Geneseo and All-Conference player Tommy Eastman is now playing for Middlebury and has been a solid member of their rotation.

Clarkson falls to 3-7 (1-2 LL) and will be off until Jan 10th when they return to conference play against Bard College.

Cortland 102  Cabrini 62

This wasn't much of a game from a fan's point of view unless you enjoy watching a beatdown. I had the Red Dragons winning this game comfortably by an 88-71 score. I knew Cortland was a better team but didn't think they were 40 points better. And still without their 2nd leading scorer, Eric Edwards.

Cabrini hung with the Red dragons for about the first 8 minutes when they were only down 17-13. Then the boom got lowered and the end came quickly. Cortland's Brendan Fitzpatrick hit a three pointer...then Jake DiSanto entered the game and followed suit 35 seconds later, as he buried a three. Twenty four seconds after that, Ben Walters joins the threeball party and drains one. Ryan Schmadel tried to make one 45 seconds later but his wouldn't go down. The next trip down the floor he hoisted another one and it did go down...the first of many. It was now 29-17 and the rout was on. The lead would continue to grow....and grow, until  it was 20 points and then double the Caveliers score at 54-27 at the end of the first half.

The 2nd verse was the same as the first. Cortland made 20 three pointers in 41 attempts and Ryan Schmadel was the main Cabrini antagonist as he was 6x12 from downtown.  Cortland shot 50.7% from the field, 48.8% from long distance and 88.9% from the line. They had 54 rebounds to 33 for the Caveliers and had 9 turnovers to just 6 for Cabrini.

Cortland
Ryan Schmadel had a team high 18 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds. As mentioned above he was 6x12 from long range.
Austin Grunder continued his double-double output as he had 17 points and 23 rebounds.
Ben Walters also had 17 points on 7x12 shooting.
Jake DiSanto had 16 points, going 4x8  from long distance. He added 2 assists a rebound and a steal.
Brendan Fitzpatrick had 10 points, 4 rebounds and a game high 12 assists. Turns out those 12 assists tied the school record for most in a single game.
Endher Gonzalez had 6 points and 8 rebounds
Kareem Lubin had 6 points and 6 rebounds.
AJ Lawton had 6 points on 2x4 shooting from long distance.

Cabrini
Voshon Mack captured scoring honors with 22 points and 5 rebounds
Keith Blassingale had 14 points, 8 assists, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Cortland wins their 5th game in a row. They improve to 7-2 overall (1-1 SUNYAC) and will be back in action on January, 10th when they host Buffalo State at 7:30 PM

Oswego State 84  Montclair State 73

The Lakers had the most significant win of the 3 contests on Saturday as they defeated the Red Hawks who are the leaders of the New Jersey Athletic Conference. I picked the Lakers to win this game by an 85-82 final score but was concerned that the Red Hawks might run the Lakers right off the floor. Then I thought about it and decided that Montclair State can't be any tougher or more athletic than Brockport is and if Oswego could almost beat the Golden Eagles in Brockport then I think they can hang with the Red Hawks. But I was holding my breath in a tightly contested first half.

The Lakers grabbed an early 7 point lead at 12-5 but the Red Hawks caught them at 16 and it was a back and forth battle for the rest of the half. Montclair State went ahead by 6 points at 26-20 with 9 minutes to go and I thought the Red Hawks might get some major separation, but 7 minutes later they were only up by a 36-30 score . Oswego ended the half on an 8-2 run thanks to a pair of threes from Hunter Cole and Brandon Gartland and the Lakers went into the break tied at 36.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Oswego State had four freshmen and a sophomore on the floor.....at the same time.... in the first half...when they were behind!! I'm sending Coach Leone an email to see if he's feeling alright.

It took 15 seconds into the 2nd half for Oswego to take the lead, when Jordan Brown swished a jumper. It was the only basket Jordan made all day (he only took 2 shots) but it was the winning basket, because the Lakers never trailed the rest of the way. Liam Sanborn followed that act with a three pointer and Joe Sullivan scored inside with a layup followed by another threeball from Brandon Gartland. It was a 10-2 run to set the stage and Oswego never allowed the Red Hawks to get closer than 2 possessions after that. The lead slowly grew until Oswego was up by 15 points, at 64-49, with 9 minutes to play. Still down by 15, at 72-57, the Red Hawks were pressing and trapping which caused the Lakers to committ several turnovers. The Red Hawks went on a 10-2 spurt that brought them within 5 points, at 74-69, with 4:17 to go. Liam Sanborn took control and drained a three to boost the lead to 8 and after the Red Hawks missed on their possession, Jeremiah Sparks made a pair of free throws and the lead was back to 10 once again. The Red Hawks missed 2 more three point shots and the foul parade was called off before it started.

Oswego outshot the Red Hawks in all three categories as they were  29x50 (58%) from the field, 11x18 (61.1%) from behind the arc and 15x24 (62.5%) from the line.

Montclair State was 29x63 (46.0%) from the field, 9x28 (48.0%) from long range and 6x10 (60%) from the stripe.

The Lakers also dominated the glass as they grabbed 38 rebounds to just 23 for the Jersey Boys. The Lakers did lose in the turnover department as they had 18 to just 11 for the Red Hawks.

Oswego
Liam Sanborn was the game's high scorer with 22 points and 4 assists.
Jeremiah Sparks had 18 points and 7 rebounds.
Brandan Gartland had 17 points and 2 rebounds.
Joe Sullivan had a double-double of 11 points and a game high 12 rebounds.
Hunter Cole had a career high 6 rebounds with 3 points and 3 assists in 19 minutes off the bench.

Montclair State
Nate Nahirny had 13 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals
Akbar Hoffman had 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
Steve Breeman had 10 points and 2 assists.

Oswego State improves to 6-2 overall (1-1 SUNYAC).
They will face the host school in the Moravian College Steel Club Classic.... the Moravian College Greyhounds today at 3:30 PM

Jan. 5                            Just a single game today

Oswego State  at  Moravian        3:30 PM      Moravian College Steel Club Classic

The Lakers try and go 2-0 at the Moravian tournament. Since this tournament is a classic format the two winers of yesterday's games, Oswego and Ithaca are not playing for the championship. So it's possible that both Oswego and Ithca could wind up 2-0. If that happens, the magicman tiebreaker comes into play, and since the Lakers beat Ithaca  back on November 15th, 85-80,  then Oswego is considered the champion. ;D Actually hoping that will happen since I'm rooting for Jake Mitchell and his Ithaca teammates to defeat Montclair State today.

The Greyhounds will present a formidable challenge for the Lakers as they hung with Ithaca yesterday and were only down 81-80 with 1:19 left in the game. They missed a shot to take the lead and ithaca got the rebound and hit a three pointer on their possession to go up by 4 with 48 seconds left. When Moravian came up empty on their possession they had to foul and Ithaca held them off. Moravian also owns a win over William Paterson who plays in the NJAC with Montclair  State. Willie Pat only lost to Montclair State by a 106-105 score in overtime. So the Greyhounds will be more than capable of spoiling the Lakers hopes of going 2-0 over the weekend.

The oddsmakers have made the Lakers a slim 2 point favorite in this one. I think they win by a few more. Oswego 85 Moravian 78.

Oswego 28 Moravian 25 at halftime.

Scoring is at a premium in this game as both teams missing lot of shots from long and short range. Oswego only 1x11 from 3 point land. Fortunately the Lakers are 11x11 from the free throw line. The Greyhounds came out of the gate quickly and raced out to a 15-6 lead. Lakers spent most of the period playing catch up and finally did at 19-19 with 7 minutes to go. They quickly fell behind again by 5 points but with just 1:18 left in the period got a putback from Jeremiah Sparks. He was  fouled on the play and made the free throw to give the lakers their first lead of the game at 26-25. Brandon Gartland was fouled with 30 seconds left and made both free throws to extend the lead to 28-25 at the break.

Oswego was led by Jeremiah Sparks with 13 points. Brandon Gartland had 11 points.

Moravian was led by Greg Eck with 10 points and CJ Barnes had 8.

Oswego State  85  Moravian 79

Lakers make 22 straight free throws...missed one and then make 15 more in a row to total 37 of 38 (97.4%)

I had Oswego winning this game 85-78 in my preview. I wouldn't have gotten the perfect Oswego part of that prediction without that one missed free throw but I sure wish they had made it. 38 of 38 would have been sweet. 37 of 38 is still probably the best free throw shooting total in a single game in the country this year so far. And I'm talking any game in any league....pros, college, or high school. ;D

Oswego goes 2-0 down in Pennslyvania ths weekend as they fought back from an early 9 point deficit to collar the Greyhounds with 7 minutes to go in the first period and grab a halftime lead of 28-25. Freshman Jeremiah Sparks (13) and senior Brandon Gartland (11) were the top scorers for Oswego in the opening period, accounting for a combined 24 of the Lakers 28 first half points.

The Lakers were up 36-34 with 16:25 left in the period when Joe Sullivan scored and was fouled for a 3 point play. On Oswego's next possession, Sparks buried a three pointer and then it was a repeat of Big Joe and another 3 point play. In 80 seconds the lead went from 2 points to 11 points and Oswego was looking for more. Up 45-34 a steal by Sparks led to a layup attempt by Jordan Brown who appeared to get fouled but didn't get the call. A technical was called against Oswego and it turned into a 5 point play. The Greyhounds made 2 free throws and then scored a layup on the possession with an And One tacked on. Moravian trailed by just 6 points. No problem...just go back to Joe Sullivan who was fouled inside, made both free throws and then went down to the other end and stole the ball. That resulted in another foul by the Greyhounds, sending Liam Sanborn to the line. He made both his attempts and then he went down to the other end and stole the ball, this time scoring on a layup. Once again, in just 61 seconds this time, the lead went from 6 back to 12 and Sparks added a layup 30 ticks later to make it 53-39 with 13:06 remaining. Moravian wouldn't fold and came back with an 11-0 run to pull within three at 53-50. The Greyhounds got as close as 57-56 with 8:27 to go and had several chances to tie or take the lead but the Lakers held them off... for the moment.

Moravian finally broke through after several Laker turnovers and with the score 62-58 they got back to back 3 pointers and went ahead for the first time in the 2nd half 64-62. Sullivan got another 3 point hoop and harm and Matt O'Connor buried another three for the Greyhounds to regain the lead for Moravian. It would be their final lead. Brandon Gartland hit a pair of free throws for Oswego to tie the game and then freshman Kaleb Cook hit the go ahead jumper with 2:40 left in the game. Still up by 2 points Joe Sullivan  got yet another hoop and harm to give Oswego a 5 point lead at 77-72, with 32 seconds left. When the Greyhounds missed on their end, Sullivan struck inside, again. Oswego closed out the game going 6x6 from the line in the final 28 seconds.

The Lakers shot 22x53 from the field (41.5%), 4x19 from long distance (21.1%), and that eyepopping 37x38 from the line (97.4%).

Moravian shot  27x54 (50%) from the field, 10x23 from downtown (43.5%), and 15x18 (83.3%) from the line.

Oswego had 35 rebounds to 26 for the Greyhounds and 12 turnovers to 14 for the opponents.

Oswego
Jeremiah Sparks took home scoring honors with a career high 32 points in Sunday's game. He had 13 in the first half and 19 in the 2nd. He made all of the Lakers three pointers going 4x7 from behind the arc. He was 10x17 from field and 8x8 from the line. He added a game high 7 rebounds, a game high 3 blocks and 2 steals. I'm thinking a Player of the Week award may be forthcoming, but that's just a guess on my part. Lots of good games this week by YAC players. Jeremiah had two good games.

Joe Sullivan had 22 points, all scored in the 2nd half. He added 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. He was 6x8 from the field, 10x11 from the line and had more 3 point plays anyone I've seen in a game this year.

Brandan Gartland  had 15 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. He was 11x11 from the line.

Liam Sanborn had 6 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. He was 4x4 from the line.

Moravian
C.J. Barnes had 29 points 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.

Greg Eck had 23 points, and 3 rebounds.

Matt O'Connor had 17 points and 3 rebounds.

Oswego improves to 7-2 overall (1-1 SUNYAC) and will host Fredonia State on Friday January 10th at 7:00 PM.
