Zola I agree We need a change to truely get the Potsdam Basketball program back to the glory days.  Its a joke to read that Potsdam Basketball is considered a basketball power.  We have only really has one great year since Jerry Welsh departed.  Was 04-05 a fluke?

Didn't the Bears have a couple of decent years since the Jerry Welsh days. Mitchell had them win the regular season a while back and Dobbs took them to the NCAAs twice. I would say that going to the NCAA would be considered a great year. If I recall correctly, Potsdam isn't exactly a hotspot destination for tourism in the winter. It's tough bearing (no pun intended) the cold up there.

Battle of the North Country tonight at Memorial Hall in Plattsburgh. Back and forth 1st half saw the Bears  come away with a 37-34 lead at the break. Cards would narrow the gap but Potsdam remained in front and again extended their margin to 14 at 71-59 with 3:39 left. Cardinals Josh Bruno enters the game and proceeds to hit 4 baskets(2 3's) to bring the Cardinals back and they take the lead at 72-71 with 1:07 to play.
