I even wore my Saratoga hat to the game tonight. Could be why Kelso had such a good game.

#2045
Plattsburgh and Buffalo battled back and forth in the 1st half of tonight's game with neither team gaining much of an advantage. Cardinals had an early 6 pt lead with Bengals coming back to take a 5 pt lead with 7:00 left at 29-24. Cards came back to tie it up and they went into the break 36 all. Plattsburgh outscored the Bengals 16-11 over the 1st 6:30 of the 2nd to take a 52-47 edge only to have Buff. St go on a 17-2 run and establish the only double digit lead of the night at 64-54 with 8:00 remaining. Cards come back with an 11-2 run of their own to close to 66-65 at the 4:32 mark.  5 unanswered Bengal pts  pushed the lead to 6  and 2 quick 3 pointers by the Cards with under 30 secs to play cut the lead to 77-75. Bengals at the line with 7.5 secs left and miss both ft's but get the rebound and hit 2 ft's with 4 secs left for the final margin.
Buffalo St. was led by James Tyndall with 22 pts, Jamar Gray with 14 pts and Antonio Speed with 11.
Plattsburgh's Chris Ruiz was the game's high scorer with 24 pts and Errol Daniyan added 19.
Buffalo State improves to 6-3 in Conference play and 9-8 overall. Bengals have now won 9 of their last 11, including 6 of 7 in Conference play after starting the season 0-6. They currently hold down 3rd place in the SUNYAC. They are at Morrisville tomorrow night.
Cardinals fall to 3-6 in conference play 5-12 overall and are in danger of missing the playoffs for the 1st time since the 02-03 season. They host Fredonia on Sat. evening in a must win situation.

Fredonia takes first lead at 26-24 on B. Cooper '3' and never looks back. Largest lead's final score at Mville. B. Morse 13 pts, 7 rebs; J. Bryant 11 pts; Cooper 7 rebs, 7 pts; W. Davis 5 stls

with age came?

Magic-you, Bear & I better start praying for some wins here as our beloved Cards, Bears, & Knights seem to be marching toward oblivion.  I would hate to see the only north country marching in a positive direction to be left to the Saints!!!! ;D

Thanks dex +k, only in the 'yac do you get a 350 mile round trip in the snowbelt, followed by a Saturday night home game.  Men then get to face league leading Lakers, after running into a buzz saw at Cortland.  I think arrival time in Potsdam last night was 2-3 AM depending on how tough the going was on I-81.

Another winter of discontent in the 'dam.

Slight correction jdex, Fredonia beat Plattsburgh 70-62. Not that it matters much.
Tale of two halves as Cards come back from horrific 15 pt 1st half to outscore Freds 47-32 in the 2nd. Blue Devils up 12-9 with 11:53 to play in the 1st and break the game open with finishing 26-6 run. Credit the Cardinals for coming out and playing hard the entire 2nd half to close the gap.

Potsdam survives late night road trip home to take down Oswegp 75-66 and prevent the Lakers from taking over sole possession of 1st place. Much needed win for the Bears to stay in the hunt for a playoff berth.
