As expected Plattsburgh State Junior Guard Chris Ruiz was named the SUNYAC Player of the Week that ended February 13th. It was the 2nd time this season he has won the weekly award also receiving the honor back on December 7th. It also  marked the 4th time in his career that Ruiz garnered the SUNYAC player of the week having done so twice last year.

New NCAA Regional Rankings out for games through 2 14-10:

East Region    In-Region Record    Overall Record
1. St. John Fisher 18-4 19-4
2. Medaille 20-2 21-2
3. Oneonta State 17-5 18-5
4. Stevens Institute 17-5 17-5
5. New York University 14-7 15-7
6. Plattsburgh State 13-6 15-7

Plattsburgh's Regional Record should be 14-6 through 2-14-10. Apparently the NCAA has made an error and has yet to correct it.

Bengalsrule,
Back on Jan. 26th you promised me a win tonight when the Bengals visit Brockport. I'm holding you to that promise.

Any other requests magicman?

Glad to have obliged!

I'm just pissed that the best we can do is 5th seed even with a 10-8 record
(which we will have after Sat game vs Oswego!)

P.s. I love your predictions for this weekend!

Bengalsrule,
That was a big win for your Bengals the other night as it will give you the tiebreaker over Fredonia should both teams win out. Your game against Cortland on Friday night could very well be a prelude to the Bengals 1st round matchup in the conference tourney on Tuesday. Cardinals are in much better shape after Port and Cortland both lose on Tuesday night. A sweep this weekend gives us the top seed, but Plattsburgh has to take care of business against Geneseo on Friday night and guard against looking ahead to Saturday's contest against Brockport. If the Cardinals play ball this weekend like they did against Potsdam on Tuesday we'll be looking at the 4th seed and playing your Bengals come Tuesday. Of all the teams I've seen Buff State is the team I don't want a 1st round matchup with. Good luck this weekend.

The of course, the boys come out and treat the port to a 5-22 run to start the second half.

Can't stand prosperity I guess.

I was there until about 53-51 Brockport, after the Bears had blown a 17 pt second half lead.  I figured they didn't need any more of my karma after that exhibition.

Bear's exit strategy works!!!!

Meanwhile, Oneonta finishes YAC at 13-5 and awaits sliding Bport test tomorrow at 12-5 Pburgh to determine regular season king. Burgh wins and wears crown on strength of reg season sweep of OSt

Oneonta      13-5
Plattsburgh  12-5
Brockport     11-6
Cortland       10-7
Buffalo St       9-8
Fredonia        9-8
New Paltz      7-11
Oswego         6-11
Geneseo        6-11
Potsdam        3-14

Much rides on Saturday matinee games in addition to first place showdown in Plattsburgh with Bport. Playoff ramifications also hinge on outcomes of Cortland at Fredonia, Geneseo at Potsdam, Oswego at Buff St

The eighth and final playoff slot remains unsettled among NP. Geneseo and Oswego. Should Gens and OSt win, idle NP is out since it lost both season series to Gens and OSt. Meanwhile, Gens hold tiebreaking sweep of OSt.

And position shifts are conceivable for every other playoff qualified team
