Oswego's Sean Michele hits a triple at the buzzer to give the Lakers the win at 58-55. Whewwww!!! ::)

Wells put on man-2-man and 2-2-1 zone press most of the game.  Either full court or 2/3 court after foul shots or made baskets.  Oswego had some problems getting ball across half line
NBA + range - all net...   on a broken play with 0:00.5 or something left (at the release).

Fredonia looked pretty good vs Ithaca also.

Yeah I watched it on the video broadcast.  And yeah they pressed all game long. Lakers made some crazy passes near the end that almost cost them the win. Also had the livestats up that didn't work very well as I mentioned. Where you been hiding for the past several years? ???

Oneonta tumbles to F&M 64-46 in F&M final. In 34-26 deficit thru 20 minutes. OSt 15x49fg, 3x13 3s, 13x24ft and on short side of 43-32 rebound stat. D. Lee 14 pts(3x5fg, 2x4 3s); fr F. Kelly 10 pts(4x12fg), 3 stls

Yeah, experienced some livestats frustration. Never appeared from Widener where that board did boast Widener's ECAC football bowl win today. And Fredonia/IC game from Oswego was halted with 0:06 left. Didn't try later for Oswego game. But we're getting spoiled. Couple of years ago few had livestats and more hunting required, sometimes to even learn of a score.

You're right, we are getting spoiled. You would know more about this than I do but don't schools have to pay these livestat companies to have them put this info on the web? And doesn't anyone from the schools check to see if they're getting their money's worth. Oswego had problems both days and so did UofR. I was hoping to watch my Cards play Rochester on Friday evening, but the video stream was very bad and the live stats didn't work at all. Kept getting a message that said the game hasn't started yet, please check back later. Ended up listening to the game on a Rochester radio station. Had the exact same problems again on Saturday. Live stats for the UR-Keystone game showed a 24-10 score for 3 hours. I notice that live stats for both of these schools, Rochester and Oswego, are powered by Sidearm Sports. I've had that problem with other school as well  and quite often its Sidearm Sports. You can still access Oswego's live stat page from Saturday's game with Wells and it's stuck at 54-45 with 4:14 to play. ???  Presto Sports live stats seems to work a lot better.

Hey Bengals,
Did you go to Rochester to see the games this weekend? Not a peep out of you for the past 2 days.

Presto Sports live stats seems to work a lot better.

Williams uses Presto Sports, they also had issues.  I believe there are two main problems:

1. Operator Error - the turnover is stat crews is very high, and it's early in the season.  Statcrew in particular is a very efficient program, but a couple finger fumbles and you have a problem.  Statcrew feeds livestats regardless of the application.

2. Network Infrastructure on the campuses.  At most campuses, the main gym is not a high priority for wireless hubs.  They are usually located at a corner of the campus off in the hinterlands, which means long cable runs back to the network hub on campus.  The farther away you are, the more things that can go wrong, and also, if something goes down on a weekend, usually it's not going to get fixed until sometime during the week.

Just based on my experience as both a stats guy and a computer geek.

Hopefully will get better as the season progresses.

Hey Bengals,
Did you go to Rochester to see the games this weekend? Not a peep out of you for the past 2 days.

I made it to Rochester albeit at 2:30 p.m. friday afternoon to pick up my 10 year old for his weekend with dad. I tried to convince him to hang out in the Roc till 10 p.m and see the game and then head back to Buffalo. However his big sister, (my 24 yr old who lives with me) had already told him that they were going to see "Happy Feet 2" at 4:30 soooo back to Buffalo I/we went...never to return again (that evening) :P

P. S. A STROOOONG "GO SUNYAC" shout out to the Red Dragons of Oneonta. Their men's soccer team is heading to San Antonio for the NCAA FINAL 4 of Soccer after winning today vs. Camden - Rutgers!!!

Do us proud Dec 2nd in San Antone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

1st week of Hoops and the 'Yac goes 15-15 ???. Dont know what to make of that quite yet.

"Good Loss" - Cards give U of R all they can handle (and by most accounts the score would have been different if that game had been played on a neutral floor).

"Good Wins" - Both Oswego and Fredonia beat (2011 NCAA participant) Ithaca by 3 and 5 respectively and Fredonia also beats PSU Behrend (23-5 & NCAA participant).

Teams that look better than I thought...Fredonia/Potsdam/Cortland . Fredonia is 4-0 and and Potsdam's only loss is to Salem State which knocked off Williams, the next night, in Williams gym! Cortland handled NCAA participant Delaware Valley and then lost a 4 pointer to an undefeated host Widener  (a game in which they led by 4 at the half).

Teams that don't look as good as I thought they would!
Brockport and New Paltz

Too Soon to tell..
Oneonta

And in the words of Coach Dennis Green...the teams that "They are who we thought they were"....

Geneseo at 0-3 and.......

The Buffalo State BENGALS at 2-0 and averaging 117 points per game while holding their opponents to 71 per contest!

Surprising note. The BENGALS are averaging 23.5 steals per game.

ENJOY the TURKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

The "Week 1 TOP 25" D3Hoops rankings should be coming out his weekend. Any guesses as to where Oswego, Buff State and any other NY state schools will be ranked?? ???

Poll won't be out until late on Monday Nov. 28th or Tuesday the 29th would be my guess. I think Buffalo St will move up a  few spots, maybe as high as 12th or 13th. Oswego may drop a spot or two. Rochester will drop 6-10 spots, maybe more. In the others receiving votes category, Hobart and Hartwick may receive a few votes but it won't surprise me if they don't.   Augustana, Amherst, and Middlebury will probably be 1, 2, and 3 in that order. Rest of Top Ten will probably be in order, Marietta, Wooster, Virginia Wesleyan, MIT, Whitworth, and Emory through the #9 spot. Cabrini, Mary-Hardin Baylor, and Franklin & Marshall will come in 10-11-12 but not necessarily in that order. Biggest mover of the week may well be #25 Wheaton (Ill) who will jump up considerably, possibly even into the top ten but I think they'll be around the 15 th spot.
